This! I still love my black leggings with boots and a sweater dress but tighter leg jeans just aren’t comfortable anymore.
The denim on my crop jean is soft with a bit of stretch. (They also aren’t super cropped on me)Surprised that they don’t stretch out like some of my other jeans. I usually like a lower rise but these are more of a mid rise.
My biggest problem is I gravitate to the same styles when I shop. By opening up to suggestions by a salesperson I tried on things outside my box. Some didn’t work but in the case of the two pairs of pants I’m happy.
Mother jeans are the bomb! Soft but don’t stretch out!
Agreed. Wide leg / cropped is more appealing than baggy jeans.
I like my leggings, especially for home and cold weather running. But I’m on the lookout for black comfortable pants not as tight on the calves…. but softer than the black jeans (two pair) that I wear often. Bonus point if they’d be good for travel.
I’m only 5’6” on a well rested morning… anything cropped and wide makes me look like a wide, short rectangle. If I had a few more inches of height, I would probably look good in these. Heeled boots would do nothing to remedy the situation, unfortunately.
@Colorado_mom these are great pants for travel and otherwise. Very comfortable. Not inexpensive but worth it.
Thanks! I’ve not heard of AYR, but I’m please to see they come in a Short length too. The cost is much higher than I’d usually spend, but I’ve come to learn that a nice fitting pair of black pants gets a lot of use. Ideally I could try them on in a store (without taking a trip to LA… that would make them realllly expensive).
I see. I think you might be surprised at the difference with heels and a longer inseam. I also think high waisted gives a good illusion, too.
I don’t wear sweatshirts, rarely a print (let alone a ditsy print), nor crewneck anything.
But I saw this and absolutely fell in love. It’s not heavy, and they styled it in the store where the cuffs are folded and little flipped up to show the inside terry. It’s such a youthful item. Runs big. I’m a medium and fit well in the small. Colors are a bit more vivid in real life, but still muted. It really looks great with black jeans, more than blue jeans.
Looks like a very comfy garment that will add color when things are a bit blah via the weather.
That’s my kind of a sweatshirt! Very nice.
It looks wonderful but it would have to be reduced A LOT to fit in my budget. Fortunately they have a store in downtown Brooklyn.
Love! I would buy that - but wait for a sake.
There is one with a dog print, too! Also cute.
I want it to take on a trip next month! Didn’t want to take the chance it might be sold out. Also, a Christmas present for myself. That’s how I justify psying that much for a sweatshirt.
I’m about your height but they somehow work for me. I don’t wear them with a flat shoe. I do have long legs.
I can try on the same outfit as a friend or one of my daughters and they fit totally different even if we are similar height and weight. I have had numerous people tell me that wrap dresses look good on everyone. On me they look terrible. Same with Not your daughter jeans they don’t work for me at all no matter what style I try. That’s why it’s so hard to recommend clothing to others.
I like Anthropologie but I used to love their clothing. I haven’t bought as much from them in the last few years.
Same - although I manage to still find things to buy. I’m confused as to what direction they are headed in with some of their clothing styles, particularly the tops. Waiting patiently for the cropped trend to die a painful death.
My oldest worked at Anthro when she was in college. Back then, their styles were much more “wearable”. The “Friends and Family” discount was very generous. I took advantage.
A DVF marketing ploy.
I rarely ever make it to clothing stores — buy a lot if Costco clothing and am pretty gentle on my clothes so they last forever. It’s cute but I’m not willing to part with anything so don’t want to acquire anything.
Ditto!!! Everyone seems to be making cropped tops only.
Wrap dresses look good on me. I’m a big fan of DVF. Yup, exactly why clothes are so personal.
Daughter worked there and they changed their focus to 20 somethings a few years ago. That’s when I quit finding things. I used to get cute tops and sweaters but no more. I’m with you on those crop tops.
