How do you keep linen from wrinkling terribly?
Linen blend is the only way I think.
I am not really petite. Though I am only 5’4”, I have a really long torso compared to the length of my short, squatty legs. I’m very long-waisted, so petites don’t fit me at all.
@Hoggirl - I have a pair I love from Athleta. Just ordered another pair
They also have a jogger style
I have the same Athleta ones and a pair of the wide leg option as well. On a hot summer day paired with a tank or T they are comfy and look nice. I used to dislike all the wrinkling but doesn’t bother me as much now.
For the Eddie Bauer Departure Pant fans, EB has a sale going on now. I purchased a pair of Women’s Departure Wide-Leg Crop Pants.
I was looking for something that is comfortable, cool to wear when I want a little more coverage than shorts or a skort, but the length isn’t to my ankles. The price was right with it being 50% off and a $10 promo code I received in an email. Total with tax and free shipping was $29.22.
I received it and was glad I guessed right on the size after reading reviews.
Edited: oops! This might be the wrong thread, but oh well.
Nice. I see Kohls (and Amazon) online have Eddie Bauer. Anybody know if same quality as Eddie Bauer stores/website?
FWIW, my husband’s Eddie Bauer pants from Amazon and Costco held up very well (and he doesn’t baby his clothes ).
I don’t know about EB from Kohls and Amazon. I did buy a couple of EB items from Costco and had no issues.
H and I have not had much success with EB clothing—maybe we have bought flukes but they don’t hold up for us and we are pretty gentle with clothing.
My husband has had mixed results with Eddie Bauer from Costco.
My Frame jeans came and while I liked them they were big. The smaller sizes weren’t the same great prices. the Kut jeans come today.
I like Frame but have found that their sizes are all over the place - even within the same style group. I have 3 pairs of the same style, in different rinses, that are different sizes and one that was supposed to be cropped, dragged on the floor. I’m guessing they are using different factories. For their price point, they need to work on consistency in their products.
When I only wore AG jeans I had similar experience. The same style I had sizes from a 26 to a 30. Once a year my daughter and I would drive to their store and we would restock for the year. Because we shopped in person it was easy to try different sizes. Online is a whole different experience.
Oh, I like those!
I have bought Costco GV jeans and have the sizing vary, such that a larger size was smaller than the smaller size (4, 6 &8). The lengths varies too. At least price was great and when you bought online and returned in store, any postage was also refunded.
I’ve gotten good deal on at least 2 pair of GV jeans at Kohls clearance rack ($12, $3). The clearance excess may be due to that darned size variability, a common complaint in the online reviews. It’s a brand I could never try to buy online (size 6 or 8 or 10? Regular or Petite? seems a crap shoot).
I thought I’d update on my hunt for new jeans. The Kut from the Kloth pairs I ordered didn’t fit like I wanted.
I gave up and decided I needed to clean up my diet to reduce some remaining inflammation after knee surgery. I cut sugar out and made sure to just use avocado and olive oil. In 6 weeks I’ve lost 10 lbs and my old jeans now fit.
Anyone buying new bathing suits this year that are dressing young in an appropriate way?!!
I bought swim shorts and a top that was more coverage than a “bikini” top- sort of covers half the midriff this morning. Online order so we will see.
Figured I might be able to pull it off in my own pool with my own family!
I bought new last year. My favorite was the swim tights from Lands End that several on CC recommended. I like them for when we are with the grandkids at the pool or beach. I also bought swim shorts from Lands End.
New bikini tops last year came from Athleta and tankini top was from Carved Design.
Travel and dressing young question.
Trying to pin down my MOB dress and wedding festivities outfits.
Destination wedding Caribbean in June. Wondering if there would be any need for a light wrap?
Since I’ve never been to the Caribbean in June. I know it’s windy there. Wedding itself is on the beach but wondering if it cools down much at night?
