Dressing Young (2024)

Are you going to be inside any buildings with AC? I have never been to the Caribbean, but I found that a lightweight wrap is a must have accessory both in Cancun and Hawaii. I hate AC that is cranked up hurricane speed which happens in some of buildings!

Wherever I go have a wrap of some sort. Have been at weddings that seemed like they would be warm, then the sun went down and everyone (outside) was shivering.

After a few of those I vowed I’d never be cold again at an event!

Thanks. I have a thin wrap coming to my house.

I love my Lands End bathing suit. I opt to keep as much sun off me as possible.

I don’t see anything like it now🙁

I bought a new one piece a year ago (Target had great in store selection, even in February). But I find myself going often to an old bikini because it works well under my inevitable sun protection outer layers (beach dress OR tshirt with shorts of sometimes even long pants if it’s a windy beach). So even though I had thought my next purchase would be boardsurfing shorts, I’ll be on the lookout for a new bikini.

I was so happy to see this swimsuit in a higher trendy bottom. Guess what it did? Pushed out my muffin top. Argh! So I ended up with the lower one. It covers fairly well. I’m not loving the pattern as well as others I’ve purchased, but I like the style and bought a blue scala sun

hat to go with it.

Full disclosure. My abdomen doesn’t look quite like hers anymore! lol!

I found that high waisted bikini bottoms have the same issue for me, and that lower waisted ones work so much better. I’m a fan of Prima Donna swimwear that comes in true bra sizing. It is expensive as heck so I pounce on any clearance pieces at HerRoom.

I remember when the super high waisted ones were very much in style about 1990 or so. I loved them. That’s the last time I owned one. Of course, no muffin top at 30 years old.

Ahh… youth. I remember that trend of the early nineties… I actually looked good in those suits.

(iPhone truncated my post. Had to edit)

What? The high waist or the no muffin top?

I’ll see myself out now!

These look great. I always have a rash guard top to go over my suit but these would be so much better😀
