Dressing Young 2025

I definitely think a white top of some sort. I do like all black, just not on me.

You should try shopping on Poshmark and just filter to the brands you like. I’m in several reseller groups and lots of us won’t send them stuff because their commission is to high and wonky.

I definitely need to look at Poshmark et al. I stick with a handful of brands I know well and rarely return anything so Poshmark should work.

You can also look at their “love notes”, aka people who leave reviews. It will sort of tell you the type of seller it is.

I think this top in white would work well:

Your link to the white top reminded me of the one D2 wore to lunch with my mom a few weeks ago except it is black.

It’s very cute!

I kind of love the black sleeveless top with the black lace pants, conmama! I think together it looks elegant and the cohesive color allows the pattern in the lace (and subtle sparkles) to shine.

I like it, too. I just don’t wear all over black. With my dark hair, it’s just too much. I think blondes, redheads, grey heads look best in all over black. But I agree, it makes the lace pop.

I have these as well and they are very comfortable. Even if I walk a ton and my feet swell!

Those Plim sneakers do look great for travel. But for now, avoiding buying more because I have sooo many running shoes (good for non-running plus wanting to add another pair of pickleball shoes.

LOL - this just came up on my FB feed. Could be used for any kind of shoes, if you have a small space.

Saw these pants on the Evereve website. I have ordered: they look like something comfy for summer.

Very cool!

Cute!

Anyone in the mood to be a personal shopper?

I am not a perennial shopper; I prefer to just buy what I’m going to need for the season ahead at all once. Yesterday I finally attacked my warm-weather wardrobe in my effort to pare down to a capsule wardrobe comprised only of things I love. I now have a good idea of what I need to buy for spring/summer. I have a limited budget ($350) and am looking for:

2-3 short sleeve blouse-like tops (suitable for to wear with work trousers or to dress up jeans). I prefer cotton or other natural fibers.

A casual midi-length dress that can be worn with sandals, flats or sneakers. Must be a cut that will cover a bra (no slip dress styles).

White jeans - straight leg, cropped or a length that can be cuffed.

I’d suggest Talbots and/or Nordstrom Rack for white jeans. Talbots often has sales.

I have bought a couple of really cute dresses from here for summer. Styles that are similar to Anthropologie dresses that I have purchased, but not as expensive. I have the one linked below and I like that it is 100% cotton.

That is actually a decent budget for what you are hoping to get! I’d start with white jeans. The Rack and WHBM might have some good options. You will be left with about $200-250 after your jeans purchase. There are plenty of cute dresses and tops out there that can fit that remaining budget!
