I like Garnet Hill and I love that linked sweater. I haven’t ordered clothes from them for several years but in the past I’ve ordered swimsuits, sweaters and linen. I would order more if shipping was free.
I’ve been happy with my linen from Quince. I also ordered a rug pad which was fine. My sister ordered bedding from them and was happy. I sent back all the sweaters I’ve tried from them just didn’t look great on me. I used to get a lot of less expensive cashmere from Macy’s around the holiday time.
I agree with the Third Love t-shirt bras. I’ve had several for a number of years and they are the most flattering and have held up well. When I’m really not in the mood for underwire (which is most of the time ) I have switched to Eby and they are more comfortable and still pretty flattering.
Oh, not well at all! I buy a 34.5 B. Nice lift, a little padding/smoothing. I’d describe my boobs as just a step up of what you’d see on an obese adolescent boy. I have to wear a bra, a little bit for support, a lot for shape.
I usually wear a compression bra for running, but the 3rd Love bras manage bounce well for the every day.
I found this bra on HerRoom a few months back and liked it so much that I bought another color on sale from Bali. The underwire doesn’t annoy me and it does an excellent job of supporting my senior saggy bosom.
Of course if I’m running or other physical activity I wear a supportive sports bra. But even in everyday life I prefer the look of a supported chest that isn’t “bouncy” when I’m walking the dog or doing yard work, whatever.
While not perfect or perky I actually feel like my 34ish D, breastfed 3 babies, boobs are in decent shape! But a tshirt bra while comfortable doesn’t seem to hold it’s shape for the size of my girls!
Funny, after this bra talk one Instagram person I follow NOT for clothes (for books) was sharing her fav new bras and she has a rack, if you know what I mean. I’ll find the links to the two she loves - I have to say they are no wire and her girls look good (she is only about 40 but she is well endowed)
I’ve bought 3 of that same Vanity Fair bra, I think you recommended it, @abasket in the Prime day thread? Anyways, it is very comfortable and a great price. I’m not well endowed but as we age, gravity- I’ve tried some of the T-shirt bras and feel like I look saggy.
How are we defining tee shirt bras? I thought a tee shirt bra was one that made it so nothing shows when you wear it under a tee shirt. Does it have a particular structure too?
You’re right. I see a tshirt bra as a bra that makes a tshirt a very smooth look and is probably a soft fabric but with some structure.
A bralette on the other hand is what some might refer to a tshirt bra because sometimes they are more of a stretchy fabric - like a “loose” sports bra (so not so much compression)
You’ll be delighted to know that spring/summer 2026 is showing fairly natural shoulders and bubble skirts (not necessarily together). Oh. And Prada has a take on dirndls.
Unfortunately for me, by the time I decided I really wanted the cashmere bomber, the sale was off. Hopefully they will have another sale soon, and they will still have at least the blue/green color left. I really like the purple too, but that’s gone in my size.
I have not bought from GH recently, but over the years, I have gotten a number of items from them. One of my longest-lasting cashmere sweaters came from them. I’ve always felt their quality was good.
