Absolutely perfect on you! Great find. How is the fit? Do their dresses run TTS ?
Thank you!
Yes, I have found their items to run TTS. Most are sized XS-XL rather than with numeric sizing.
I have had good luck with ordering from them as well, 1 dress and a few tops. This dress looks great on you.
That dress is too cute!
I love you in that dress! So many places you can wear it and it has sleeves! I just so rarely wear dresses I’m reluctant to buy any more. Plus, 2 nephews are engaged and whatever I may buy I’d like to think of being guest at future weddings. haha!
I posted earlier that I ordered from Quince and wasn’t thrilled with my items so I returned them.
The post office delivered my items to Quince on 08/31, but they weren’t credited to my card
I had to initiate chat and send them screenshots that my items were delivered to them.
Only after I provided them the “evidence”, was I credited for my return.
I’m not happy with that customer service and won’t be ordering with them again.
Quince, as a brand, feels off to me.
Not really a huge cost savings on most things, not terrific quality.
I ordered their $50 cashmere sweater for one of my girls. She likes to layer, so the very thin cashmere was definitely a plus in our eyes…and she takes exceptional care of her stuff so those relatively cheaply made sweaters will last 2-4 years for her.
Quince, however, markets as “luxury”. Which it patently isn’t. Your return debacle shows this very clearly.
This time of year can be tricky. For church today I opted for a light rust colored (not my usual blue or pink), short sleeved, pocketed belted shirtdress. Was surprised to receive a few compliments. One gal came back later to ask where I got it. (Perhaps she liked the pockets? Or the fit on a short lady.) I laughed and explained it was from last year’s clearance rack at Kohl’s, I think $12.
Looks great on you!
I have not received the Quince brand as luxury. But I’m not nor ever will be in the luxury market.
From the products I’ve ordered (4 or 5 orders) I see them as good quality, good price. I’ve used all the items I’ve ordered over and over and nothing is falling apart. I don’t overbuy on clothing so my closet gets used. I’ve also received all orders pretty quickly - less than a week from order date.
The clothing market must serve a wide range of customers In terms of style, age, price, size, etc. No one place Can serve all needs and nearly all places can allow you to “dress young “!
I think you are looking at the brand correctly.
Quince however has the tagline “Luxury Essentials, Honestly Priced” as their header. That’s the only reason I judge their clothing through that prism, as I do their customer service (as described by deb922).
I received a Quince gift card as an unsolicited ‘reward’ from one of my credit cards (I get these 1-2 a year and usually just use the exact amount, or less). I purchased a jean jacket for one of my kiddos, it was completely fine. Nothing spectacular, and nothing I would say was a luxury essential.
After loooong considerations, I decided to buy the bubble skirt I wanted so badly - in a larger size, because my size was not available. It was a gamble because the skirt was final sale… it worked out! The skirt is supposed to be higher waisted, so the bigger size is loose, but works well as a low rise (sits on my hips). Yay!!!
For me, Quince is more of a “luxury look for less”. For less than $60 I’m not expecting top shelf cashmere. I have several of the $50 cashmere sweaters and they have held up and still look great. I’m guessing (and I would hope, for the price difference) that if I compared them to the Jenni Kayne cashmere, I’d notice the difference. A friend I saw this past weekend had one of their leather bags and some earrings that she loved.
I have one of their quilts on my bed that I’ve been happy with. I will likely order a heavier one for winter. I appreciate being able to change my bedding seasonally without spending a ton but still being able to get something that looks like I spent more than I did.
On the other side, I ordered a couple of dresses that I thought looked cheap, but I didn’t have any issues with returning them.
My Quince purchases have been cotton sweaters and I have been happy with them so far. I don’t consider them “ luxury purchases “ but rather everyday basics.
The comments about the return issues do give me pause.
Anyone have experience with Garnet Hill? I ordered a swimsuit there that I loved, but I haven’t ordered clothes. I really like this, but I don’t know what size I am, and I HATE having to pay return fees https://www.garnethill.com/washable-cashmere-bomber-cardigan/699568?searchTerm=Cashmere+bomber
I’ve just ordered swimsuits, I ordered a couple of sizes and styles and returned the ones I didn’t care for. It was postage-paid and my card was credited quickly.
That is so cute! Definitely me
garnet hill does free exchanges if you find the size is wrong. But yea, paying for exchanges is tough
I order from Anthropologie and they have the same policy
I’ve ordered quite a few things from GH over the years and have always been happy. None of their styles lately have been speaking to me but I do still order basic layering t-shirts and tanks when they are having a sale. Also happy with their button-down linen blouses, which I have in a few colors and their towels.
I’m an online shopper and get all my clothes online. For years, I ordered through Garnet Hill. Yes, I don’t like paying for returns, but that is true with so many companies, not just them. I haven’t ordered from them much in the last couple of years, as I haven’t wanted anything really on their site, but I used to like it a lot and ordered a lot in the past. Now, I’m also missing Sundance, which I ordered from every year, as they have closed.
I’ve only ordered linens/bedding from Garnet Hill. I haven’t ordered clothing from them for a number of years with the exception of an Eileen Fisher sweater that I couldn’t find on the EF website.
