Did image look like this? They’re pretty slacks and would look great with dark sparkly top!
We were planning to go to a party, but dagnabbit flu changed that. I’m still planning on wearing this today!

When the kids were little, we had a tradition to go to dinner on Dec 30 (with my mother babysitting)… beat the crowd. Then I got a job where planning anything fun near year-end was not possible. Now we are retired and last night decided to revisit our no-crowd “New Year’s Eve” tradition, but it was casual dress for the last-minute happy hour outing. We bought nice steaks for tonight, and I might dress up a bit and wear a nice new necklace my husband recently gifted to me.
Stunning dress!
Love it!
Love that jacket!
Beautiful jacket! You look great in it.
I love that jacket and the top with it! Perfect NYE outfit! I love sparkly and glam!
That’s beautiful! Love the trim and split.
Such a cute jacket.
I have to say that after only buying their micro fiber tanks at chicos, they have upped their game.
Some really cute things. I bought a few items for our cruise. Nice looking and easy to pack. Not just the travelers line
The dress is awesome! The fabric is so nice to the touch, and it fit perfectly, even the length! Also super comfortable to wear to food-centered events because it gently stretches without bulging.
However, I’m glad we didn’t go to the party. The sparkly trim at the hem started rubbing the skin just above the ankles as I walked around the house… so if I wore it to the party without stockings or boots, I would have been a bit uncomfortable. But it is such a beautiful dress!
Very pretty!
Similar. These were the pants, and they looked nice with my black sparkly sheer top. Happy New Year everyone!
I have a “Happy New Year” (ugly?) sweater I purchased at Casual Corner (anyone else shop there when they were younger?) in my 20s or early 30s. I have worn that sweater MANY times over the 30ish years I’ve had it. I didn’t wear it yesterday/today, because we went to a sleepover party and I didn’t know the people very well, but maybe again next year.
I’m laughing as that’s about all I’ve bought from them in 13-15 years and they used to be my favorite store 25 years ago
Remember their catalogs with that super cute model with short dark hair?
anyway, Chico’s slowly changed their demographics and eventually only much older women seemed to frequent. The style changed
I’ve noticed lately they seem to have more youthful items mixed in with older. I find myself popping into to look.
it’s time to start the Dressing Young 2026 edition!
LOL - wondering if Chicos was trying to age along with its customer base. I’ve not shopped there and know little about them. Sounds like they are getting customers back again.
Chico’s never would have crossed my mind as it used to be my MIL’s fashion “go-to”, but this thread influenced me to take a look!
I do remember! And Dress Barn was a big fave back in the day!
They skipped a generation, though! It was Uber popular with the 35-50 year old crowd. Like WHBM is now. Then very suddenly the fashion geared toward the 60-80. Very odd.
