Dressing Young 2025

That sounds like a necklace you can wear with lots of things. It will go with almost any color. In my opinion you don’t want it sitting right at the top of a sweater - you want the pendant part to hang above the neckline or at least a couple of inches below.

I like a lower scoop-neck or v-neck blouse/sweater/dress with a necklace like that

I cannot wear this color at all, but I would pair it with a camel-colored sweater and cream dress pants. I think that is a timeless and classy look.

I did see a light blue Quince sweater that looked pretty. I would certainly avoid ivory (as mentioned above by abasket there would be lack of contrast… but also not a great color on me). For now leaning toward a darker color. In the meantime while deciding, I do have a pretty purple crew neck (but dressy) top that should be nice. Also a red v-neck sweater I wore with it to church today.

I love light solid colors but unfortunately am a klutz and unable to keep them pristine so figure I will stick to darker colors that can hide things that might jump onto my clothing and brighten things up with scarves and washable fabric items.

Same. I do have some light colored dresses, though with a pattern. But my go-to on the road is a black sleeveless travel dress. I wear it with a variety of scarves, sweaters, shoes. In cooler weather I sometimes wear it more as a jumper, over a long sleeved top… with black stockings or tights. Also can be used more like a skirt with an overtop.

And Just Like That ……I’m channeling Carrie Bradshaw.

When I saw her in this outfit I loved it. Didn’t think of it again until I bought the silver satin jacket last month. I remembered her outfit and went to find it. If anyone is interested it a Norma Kamili Diana Dress that comes in 3 lengths and many colors. $275. The jacket I bought on sale at Nordstrom Rack for $199. Retailed at $495. I bought my dress on Poshmark for $90. So my $823 outfit including tax was $310! The dress runs small get the next size up.

I’m taller so it hit where it did.

Thanks I can’t wait to wear it! I’ve never totally mimicked an outfit before. Usually jyst the look or one item.

What I like about this combo is it hides a little mommy pouch. From the front it looks great, but unless you have a wash board flat stomach, I’m not keen on bodycon dresses. Bu I can get away with it because the blazer hides everything from the side!

I told DH we are going out ALOT the next 2.5 months as I’m having bunion surgery on the other foot this time. I plan on wearing every fancy outfit I have. There is a new hot place that’s opened and people get decked out!

I’m out of commission for 2 months and will be having a dry March/April which I’m looking forward to.

All I can say is I admire your fashion sense and ability to ID the correct pieces to duplicate the look you carry off so nicely! Well done! Great fashion and nice prices!

I think I found the perfect bodysuit!! I hate tees that bunch up or don’t look neatly tucked in. A bodysuit solves all of that except most bodysuits are either thong-style (self-inflicted wedge, anyone?) or too synthetic-y. Or too expensive! Saw a Shark Tank rerun with this company pitching their bodysuits for military and law enforcement etc. women. Ordered one just to try and bam - it is great. A perfect black “tee” for me!

Awesome and they’re having a 30% off deal right now!

How did you even find that? I’ve tried wearing one but they show my muffin too.
