Dressing Young 2026

I assume this thread is all women, but some probably shop for men.

At first I was surprised that the top pick of chinos was $195 (Ayr). But there are plenty of ladies pants that pricey, and they probably don’t get worn as frequently. Fear not though… the options also include $35 Gap khakis.

Is this top hopelessly outdated, or can i still wear it? Not even sure how old it is but I do love the colors!

I think one person’s outdated does not necessarily measure up to another person’s. If you like the way it looks and fits I think that is all that matters!
(The colors are pretty!)

I’m going to edit and add:
I think styling also contributes to how something looks. That top looks a little “dressy” to me(?). When wearing it with a relaxed pair of jeans it’s fine. I bet it would look more styled or up to date or whatever with say a pair of white or cream pants - or even well fitted black pants to coordinate the trim on the open neck??

I guess I’m saying consider a whole outfit when thinking about if something is dated or not. A switch of one item might make the difference either way for a piece.

I actually like the top! I would just pair it with slimmer fitting trousers/jeans.

The blouse is beautiful, I think it just needs a narrower pant.

If you love it, wear it. No such thing as outdated in my house.

No, it’s not outdated. But like others say, it needs narrower bottoms, black or white.

^^Agree! I like the top.

Alas, although I have skinny-er bottoms, none of them are skinny since that style and my body do not mesh.

I think even a color difference on the bottom would make it look like an “outfit” instead of just a top and pants. Doesn’t have to be a slim fit!

A black denim or dress pant might be nice. I do love the colors and design.

Perfect! It ties in the black lace neckline.
