Dressing Young 2026

I agree. I upsize on the tshirt for draping. I bought several Airism tanks with the built in bra for their comfort.

Also if you’re new to Uniqlo I recommend paying close attention to Uniqlo washing instructions. The comments/reviews often point to line drying. The Airism dry fairly quickly and can be damaged by drying.

I brought one of these Airism tees in black with white stripes. When I bought the second pair of pants I added four more tees. I through them in the dryer without any problems.

I’m a big Uniqlo fan. They opened a test store in a local mall almost 30 years ago and I clothed D there as their kids clothes where miniatures of the adult clothes. They closed after a few years. All of a sudden they reappeared.

Someone please stop me from buying this bag! Saw it at the mall and !

So cute!

It is cute! I like that it comes with an attached inside small bag. Still… think about what you’d put inside because with the performations it is semi-transparent. For me, contents would likely inclue a thin sweater or jacket. That might look just fine.

Keys and my houdini are usually what I carry in small bags. So perforation isn’t a deterrent from buying it.

It’s very cute! I try to avoid open top bags, but this is the kind that tempts me to break the rule.

This should be about how I’m very old now…

I don’t get into the larger town in my area but had an appointment there yesterday. I did a bunch of errands. One of those was returning a pair of shorts that didn’t fit at Talbots. I found out that they’ve changed their return policy to 30 DAYS!

Between that and couple of other customer service issues, I will think twice about purchasing from Talbots. They did give me a merchandise credit because I was 3 days past the 30 day limit.

There is a Chicos across the street so I went there. There was a 30% off sale. I also had 3 additional coupons to use. The website also said $50 off a $200 purchase.

I found 3 sweaters that would be $200. One wasn’t in my size so I wanted to order in my size. The store couldn’t combine my order with my other purchases plus they couldn’t give me the $50 off $200.

I told them I would like to give them the business but I would just order the stuff I wanted online. Which I did.

I really want to shop in a store. I do wonder if the retailers are trying to switch to an online retailer since they seem to make it harder to shop in person.

Bah, humbug, get off my lawn! I’m now such a boomer! I just want to try stuff on in person!

I’ve noticed more and more retailers sneaking in the 30-day return limit. I don’t like to leave money on the table, so if I have something to return I normally do it right away, but still…

This, and final sale limitations, are why I will sometimes pay more to buy an item from Nordstrom rather than directly from a retailer - so I have more flexibility. It’s hard to commit to a final sale if I am unsure about the fit (I’m even open to a gift card or size exchange but most stores I shop at don’t offer this).

My “get off my lawn” today is GAP. I don’t shop there except that I like some of their pajamas and also recently bought some underwear. Apparently I have “GAP Cash”, which they have been email spamming me about. I decide I could get another PJ set and go to apply the codes but wait - I have to spend $250 first! Sorry GAP - no. I don’t even know how much I have because I shop there maybe once or twice a year. I do shop at Athleta more often but don’t know if that affects my GAP account.

The GAP (or Old Navy) cash has always been that way - it really isn’t cash, it’s a coupon. And only good for a short amount of time like a week or two. You make a purchase and then you earn GAP cash (essentially a coupon) that is good for a purchase a few weeks later at a designated time.

I don’t know that I’ve ever used mine. If I’ve just shopped enough to earn the “cash” I’m not usually wanting to shop there again in a couple weeks!

I like to Xmas shop early. Last November I was looking at things for my DIL at Evereve. She couldn’t be allowed to return or exchange after 30 days do I left it all there.

I also like to buy things early for Christmas. If the return policy is only 30 days then I don’t buy gifts from those places like you.

Saw that Kivari (an Australian brand) is having their anniversary sale (25% off, today only) and ordered a dress I’ve been eyeing. I have 2 of their dresses and really like the quality. Bought them online after seeing one in a boutique in Napa, but they did not have my size, so I tracked it down and ordered directly from the brand.

I have found stores that usually have 30 day return policy often change to things can be returned by late January for the holiday season.

Glad you found what you wanted. It’s nice when you can do that and hit a sale too.

I don’t usually shop at Sezane, but my b-day is next week and I decided to splurge a little on this cardigan. Not that I need more green items in my closet :grimacing: but oh well!
