^^^@Singersmom07 That pretty Eliza J dress is one of the links I included too in my post #8615!
That Eliza J dress reminds me of the one that @coralbrook wore to dance the hula for her hubby for their anniversary in Hawaii.
soozievt that is so great! You two are on to something!
@soozievt
great minds think alike!
Two thumbs up for the Eliza J dress.
I think we have a winner
Thanks soozievt and Singersmom!
@soozievt I find that pleated white and blue Eliza J dress really appealing. Now if I just had an outdoor casual summer wedding to wear it to! (I also like most of the other Eliza J dresses.)
I also find myself really drawn to those dresses with the embroidered shear layer over plain satiny stuff. But not so much the short in front, long in back look.
I just bought these to go with the cute gray dress I bought last January for cousin’s 60th b’day beach bash. I’m wearing it to a bar mitzvah in Texas next weekend and didn’t want to wear the pump I bought for the party.
Love those sandals, emily.
@emilybee - I had to look back in the thread to find the dress. I still love it as much as the first time I saw it. I’m still tempted to buy it.
^Go for it!
If you’re still tempted, it sounds like a sign rather than a passing whim. I can’t remember the dress but obviously it is beckoning you.

Do you think this dress is the same one. Or a different fabric. I love grey but the coral might be nice.
How does Nicole Miller sizing run?
Love that dress and that style! It is on sale… ![]()
This is the link that @emilybee posted…
What a beautiful dress. Very classy
Very pretty in orange, too.
Mine is poly/viscous.
I am a “small” (4-6) and I wear a small in NM, but her dresses are usually tight fitting so if you like dresses a bit looser you’d probably want to go a size up.
I ordered it from zappos. I ordered the grey. I’ll see when it gets here if I like it. I’m usually a medium but ordered the large because I think I’ll want it looser. I don’t need it and I’d only buy it at full price if I had an occasion to wear it for.
Let us know how it fits and if you like it.
I love that style, the cut in shoulders, the flounce on the bottom. Super cute. I fear, however, it would be too short for me to wear. I bought one a couple years back and never looked in the middle bending over, just looked in the mirror straight on. I was in the kitchen doing something and my husband practically had cardiac arrest so I’ve learned my lesson.
@momofthreeboys - I always do the bend over test. I think I look best in a dress that hits a few inches above my knees. The model in the Nicolle Miller dress on the Nicole Miller site is 5 ft 10. I’m 4 inches shorter so I think I’ll be fine with the length.
