Dressing Young (Part 1)

With a skirt or a dress? Absolutely. Nice looking boots! I would wear them with a denim or sweater dress with leggings or dark tights.

@surfcity my D loves Born boots and has several pairs. Nice style and comfortable enough to wear to work. She has a similar pair she bought last year at Nordstrom.

My wide feet love Born boots.

I think tall boots are almost always in style.

Yay - you all helped me pull the trigger on those boots. I can always return them to the store if I don’t like them in person.

Since we are on the topic of boots…these are my new favorites…https://www.zappos.com/p/taos-footwear-crave-teal/product/8574971/color/695?ef_id=W1schAAAALvYXSik:20181016181141:s

I have them in the Bordeaux color. Stunning. And, they are the most comfortable boots I now own. Previously I was a big fan of the Ariat Paddock boot, but these Taos have surpassed the Ariats in all areas. They look great with jeans, a skirt, leggings and a tunic etc. They are coming with me to Europe where they’ll be prefect for those sometimes damp, sometimes uneven sidewalks.

Oh, and I can even dance in them.

A second pair in a different color is on my Christmas wish list.

Oh they are cute @dietz199! I love boots - it’s the only thing about cold weather I like. Well, that and scarves

Beautiful! I love me a boot.

That is a beautiful boot! Are they heavy? Comfy enough to walk in when traveling, like a couple miles.

The are a little heavy in that they are solid, with an excellent insole and a heel. Not heavier than most over the ankle hiding boot. And yes, for me they are comfy for many miles.

Meagan Markle took a break from her heels in Australia and put on a pair of black pointed toe Rothys.

My red Allbirds are due to arrive this week and I have 2 pairs of unworn Rothys that I haven’t been able to wear yet since I just came out of the boot.

The color I want is “retiring”!!! The taupe heather. https://rothys.com/womens/loafers

My Allbirds arrived last week, and I’ve been wearing them constantly. They are so comfortable and I like the look. Will try Rothys next.

Do the point toe Rothys run true to size? I wonder because I normally wear a 9.5 or a 40 EU, but their size chart says that a 40 EU is a 9…

I wear my same size in both the round and pointy toe, and I’m a true 7 1/2. Some posters have sized up 1/2 size for the pointy toed shoes.

Wearing my allbirds today and been wearing them pretty much every day

Allbirds - talk to me about them! @Gourmetmom how do you wear them? I am thinking they are a cute comfy shoe to wear with jeans on a more casual day? I have been wearing a slip on sneaker type shoe, but with the weather getting colder I want to wear socks. Would the wool runners work? How else do you all wear them?

I’m intrigued by the Rothys too, but now that the weather has turned, not so much. Maybe next spring.

@surfcity

I have the Allbirds Wool Loungers (slip on loafer style). I don’t wear socks with them. I love them! I will wear them until it gets to serious winter weather, then it’s boots time.

I wear my Rothys with tights in the winter, but we don’t get much snow.
