That’s a good point - it probably will be longer on her. It’s not exactly what she was looking for, but it’s a good backup if something else doesn’t materialize. I suggested that she get a chiffon scarf that she can use over her hair in the mosque and then as an covering for her shoulders.
Definitely a scarf. She will likely have to bring socks of some sort to wear at the mosque because folks entering mosques are usually required to take their shoes off.
Remember, when you are 80 years old, you will look back on your 50s and think that you were a baby back then. Enjoy the youth and wear whatever you like!
D’s Shoshanna dress arrived - way too big just everywhere - felt drowning in it, and bought the smallest size. Must run very large. So, back to square one.
Picked up my William Rast jeans at Macy’s today @conmama . I did the buy online/pickup in store (BOPIS). I tried them on and they are going to be great! Thanks for the recommendation.
@MomofWildChild , I’m so glad! Thanks for letting me know. Did you get the dark wash? It sounds like you are already quite slim, but don’t you think it makes you look even one size smaller?
I did get the dark wash. I just quickly tried them on. I’ll let you know how they do when I get to wear them. I’ve had some running and other injuries the last few months and my strategy of running less and eating twice as much has not been a good one, so I HOPE they make me look a size smaller!
The one problem @conmama is that when I went to Macy’s to get them, there was a relatively inexpensive plaid Calvin Klein blazer hanging near the pickup desk which I then acquired…
@MomofWildChild , one must do what they have to do! Ha! I’ve worn mine, they hold you in and are very comfy. I’m wearing mine tonight! I did read a bit more about the lighter washed ones and they run 1 1/2 inch shorter. No wonder I didn’t feel they looked the same, just an FYI if you think you’d like to try those, too.
