BB, can you repost Alumother’s blog? I’ve lost it.
She’s not posting as much these days. But always a thoughtful post imo
@conmama I bought this romper https://shop.nordstrom.com/s/gibson-x-hi-sugarplum-catalina-ruffle-hem-romper-regular-petite-nordstrom-exclusive/5192726?origin=keywordsearch-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FAll%20Results&color=santorini%20blue
It was laughable how bad it looked on me! But I think it would look great on someone with a different body type. It’s really cute and not as short as on the model (at least for me). The shorts were longer in the back and it was flowy.
I look better in a line shorts and skorts.
@bookworm It’s called amidprivilege.
@deb922 , I always liked that jumpsuit and would love to have one. I’m surprised it didn’t look good on you! It said the inseam is only 3.5 inches and I need at least a 4, the longer is better. A lot of her clothing looks fantastic on her since she was part of the design team, but I notice many don’t get great reviews.
speaking of older women blogs,
Diane Keaton is now on instagram.
Some of the more mainstream accounts I follow for older women are Jan Correll, silver is the new blonde. and a well styled life. Hostess of the Humble Bungalow is another. In her friends’ links are quite a few similar blogs.
FWIW, I bought a short jumpsuit by DVF a while back (2013?) after having so much luck with her evening jumpsuit which I wore to two different galas. I looked awful in it, and I was 125 lb, average height, and not even 50 back then! Static photos do not reflect how some clothes look when the body is moving.

Kinda like one in here, but note this is from 2014.
Thanks for all the suggestions!
Do rompers look good on anyone over the age of 16…I haven’t seen it…I do enjoy amid privilege when it comes into my email. When she focuses on fashion she does a marvelous job of mixing the new trends with style that is age appropriate. Never post, just read and enjoy.
Page down to Catalina Ruffle Romper. She models different colors. She’s in her 40’s and I think looks fantastic. I do think the key is they need to be long enough and not look the the teenybopper ones. I wish they made them with a 5 or 6 inch inseam, but I can’t seem to find any.

She looks fantastic in still photos that have been professionally staged. Big difference.
Oh you guys are awful, lol. Wink. Now I have spent some time browsing DVF’s sale and I am thinking about this one:
BB, swoon. That is gorgeous
Very attractive jumpsuit @BunsenBurner!!
I love the palm print maxi dress in that resort collection. Also, my fb feed is now full of cute spring outfits thanks to all your suggestions above.
Love, love the jumpsuit!
I really like it, too. Wouldn’t have known it was a jumpsuit just by looking at it. Maybe that’s why I like it.
Could someone please tell me how you use the toilet wearing a jumpsuit?
How often does one need to go to the bathroom? If the event lasts less than 5-6 hours, I don’t care what it takes to get the outfit on or off because I don’t need to pee that often.
I actually decided against buying jumpsuits for exactly that reason. I have to go every 2 to 3 hours, more if I’ve had a drink, and often am unzipping as fast as I can. I was worried about not making it in a jumpsuit.
