@deb922 so too much polyester may be the culprit?
Yea, too much polyester, not enough cotton.
I wonder if black jeans have different fabrication than blue jeans. I’ve had bad luck with black
I think you’re on to something @deb922. I checked my closet and the black denim pants I own have a lot less cotton.
I haven’t checked the fabrication, but one of the associates at WHBM told that their black jeans fit differently than their blue jeans. I often have to size up in their black denim, even in the same cut of jeans. I think fabric content can make a huge difference.
For all of us struggling with stretching and saggy jeans…let’s start a new trend. What say we all start wearing suspenders
Or a catsuit! Bet that thing will not ride down. Lol.

At $465, it had better be perfect!
No kidding! Somehow, jumpsuits are still going strong among the new style offerings. The inconvenience of going to the bathroom is mitigated by the fact that nothing gets untucked or rides down, I guess!
Checked out the Everlane pop up shop at the flagship Nordstrom. Uhhhmmm… no. The leather uppers shoes did not feel that great. The synthetic uppers flats felt very plastic-y! At those prices, I will passs.
Speaking of dressing young, mini-skirt after 60 anyone?
I have a mid-thigh wool skirt that looks great with tights and knee high boots.
Would I wear it when I’m over 60? IDK, why not?
IDK. Mid-thigh wool skirt sounds fabulous.
Give us an example of your idea of “mini”. I too will wear a skirt that is a few inches above my knee with tights and boots. 60 here!
BTW, wore the Old Navy rockstar jeggings this weekend all day in downtown Chicago with NO stretching out or sagging. Super comfortable. And I must say, my tummy area felt much better in those after a big Italian meal! (rather than traditional jeans) Mine are pretty fitted but they fully retained their shape.
Ladies, after reading the posts about Old Navy rockstar jeggings, and not being an Old Navy shopper, I decided to order a pair in a dark wash…price $20! I tried them out and really like the fit and the comfort and the look. Not too tight, no stretching out, no rolling over of waist. I would not have even noticed these if not for the post here, but quite worth the $20!
^^ Glad you like them! I swear the blogger I follow that recommends them (and I’m sure gets a little kick back from ON when people shop through her links - that’s fine) has sold a gazillion pairs for ON!
What is mini? Body skimming? How far up on the thigh? I will wear a little lower than mid thigh with tights in the winter. In the summer, I’ll wear 3 or 4 inches or so above the top of my knee if it’s more of a flowy skirt or dress. My legs don’t look the best anymore. My skin has become creepy, I hate that.
Do the ON Rock Star jeans run true to size? I’m between an 8-10 and hate anything binding on my belly.
I always grab two different sizes and try them on. The last time I bought Rock Star jeans I thought they were true to size bc it was the same size as my Loft jeans.
If buying more than one pair from ON, I try on every pair.
I bought several Pixie pants from ON for work, and the fit was not consistent within the same size.
I hope that helps!
Same here (legs)! It does not bother me so much bc I’ve been making an effort to focus on and be grateful for what my body can do.
I see quite a few women in their 60s-70s-80s at work and many seem to be wearing whatever the hell they want.
Skirts, sleeveless tops, low cut blouses…
Let’s make a pact not to hide or be ashamed of our aging bodies! We have all been marinated in our youth culture. Resist!
@Midwest67 , I know! But it’s hard. Another aging part of my body (why do they always seem to just appear all of a sudden?), is armpit fat. Forget anything strapless anymore. I don’t need to even squeeze it with clothing. It’s just there. I just want to have it sucked out. It actually hinders tops I wear now. I hate it. I know I need to rejoice with this wonderful body I have that moves and is intact. That’s one reason I like winter. Winter clothes hides all of it, ha!
