Dressing Young (Part 1)

I need a new WFH wardrobe. I guess five sweatshirts just isn’t enough

@MomofWildChild , so comfortable with memory foam bed.

Good! Yeah- the work from home wardrobe is a different deal. i have ordered some more “joggers” (what I used to call sweatpants). I really haven’t made much of an effort to look very good throughout all this.

I am sitting in my basement office wearing my new Vince cashmere blend sweater dress… so comfy. And very professional. ?

@MomofWildChild, how do you like the align joggers? Did you size up in them?

I don’t think I look good in joggers, I think because I’m short. But I’m tempted by the align ones.

Lets talk joggers. I do love my straight leg Athleta yoga pants that are a few yers old, for everyday wear, not for actual yoga. When I look online, it doesn’t seem like this style is available. Joggers have replaced them

So how do you style joggers? The straight cut pants have the advantage that I can wear socks with my sneakers, which is important to me in cold weather. I guess I feel like joggers are more warm weather wear.

I really do like the Align joggers. I have some 6s (my normal size) and then got an 8. Both are fine- I like the little bit extra length in the 8. Otherwise, I can’t tell much difference. They are light and really comfortable and not real “blousy”. There is also a capri length and I got them, too.

I got the Vuori joggers today which were recommended by one of my running teammates for her work from home stint. I love them and put them on right away. I found a discount code on facebook somewhere. They aren’t very long, so would work well for you @deb922 . They are a light weight material with kind of a gathered waist with a cute string tie- not like the old sweatpant waists. Anyway- after 1 hour of wear, I recommend them! They are more cotton-y than the Align, but still stretchy and comfortable.

Here they are. https://vuoriclothing.com/products/womens-performance-jogger-melon-heather?variant=31858249171047&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=DPA±+Open+Targeting&utm_content=%22Receive+20%25+off+your+first+order+when+you+subscribe+to+our+email+list%21%22±+DPA±+2&fbclid=IwAR0lE2se5zyx8QFGxXHcWrggMXy1R7tc98CQ5l6MxhRAT63blBx2m2dk7_c

As far as styling- right now I’m styling with running shoes, fully lined Birkys or flip flops. I think cute flats or tie sneakers are good.

Those joggers are cute but to me they can’t replace the yoga pants in my wardrobe. Still would like something that allows me to wear socks in the winter months.

I need to “think spring” and beyond my leggings I’m putting on for “work” each day.

I thinking I’d like to get a couple new tshirt dresses. Something more swingy (as opposed to fitted. Something that can stand on it’s own or with a jean jacket or light cardigan. Just above the knee length. Not looking to spend a lot of $$ - I’ll wear them eventually to work or even at home when it’s warm.

I’m even looking on Amazon. I know so many people buying casual clothing off Amazon.

Any favorites you have purchased anywhere - links please!

@abasket I haven’t tried it but a friend liked this one. https://www.chicos.com/store/product/sneaker+dress/570288074

^^^ Thanks! I’d like something shorter, less fitted and nothing at the waist.

How about from JJILL? If you haven’t ordered from them before, I’ve found their clothes generally run a little large.
This is one dress, but they have others.

I would check but I thought that amazon said that they were not shipping clothing at this moment but concentrating on necessary items.

I like the look of free people tunic dresses with leggings. A cute boho look. Not the cheapest though.

Loft has some cute dresses and they have been having really good sales.

These are quite inexpensive (which is fine!) but sort of what I was thinking of - actually @conmama , did you link to one of the floral ones of this before??!

These would not be forever dresses. Just something simple I can throw on at home, work, at the lake, etc. Amazon is showing them shipping out - some within a few days.

I haven’t looked at any other sites yet - I was just on Amazon because my DIL wore this jumpsuit the other day and sent it to me - it got me thinking about the tshirt dresses. This jumpsuit was SO cute on her!

She had an on with a jean jacket: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RBJCKVR/

@abasket , similar, at least some of the material pattern.

Funny you should mention this, I’ve been looking online at more summer dresses just to wear casually at home, at the lake, etc, just like you.

@abasket Some really cute dresses exactly like you are describing have been popping up on my Facebook (ads). I’ll make a note of the site next time. I like those ones you linked from Amazon!
