Oh! I didn’t even see the alternative colors of the pom pom dress! I also love the yellow “tuscan sun” color - but I think the blue would be the most versatile.
Those are all really cute! Glad we have our own personal shoppers on CC! Thanks Sooz and Bunsen!
I am thinking about that blue dress with the mini Pom poms too. I need to check out return policies, but I love that color, and it’s just a fun dress.
Hope you both get it and enjoy it.
At Boden, you can return items for any reason within 90 days. And due to Covid, they are allowing extra time beyond the usual policy. I have had NO issue with returns with Boden and have shopped with them for years.
Sooziet, would you go up a size for comfortable fit?
@bookworm…I went with normal size. I think the style is already a comfortable fit. Also, Boden often seems true to size.
I like the fun boho vibe of Anthropologie, they have been having some really good sales lately. I usually think they are a little pricy but sales have been good.
They have some cute dresses on sale right now.
Ha, I’m posting after myself but with a question for all of you.
At the beginning of April, everlane had a sale. April 3 to be exact. I ordered a pair of shoes that I’ve been looking at. Everlane charged my credit card in that day and it a hard charge, meaning it’s been on my card since the beginning of April.
I got an email that they were overwhelmed by the sale and it would take a while to fulfill.
They have the option to try and cancel the sale and I took that option. It said my order wouldn’t ship until May 4.
Am I being unreasonable that I expected that my card wouldn’t have the charge posting until they shipped? As it is now, they will have my money for a month before the item even shipped.
I am being very understanding in slow shipping and other problems with retailers. But this one got me.
I’m with you- no charge until shipping is at least a certainty.
Neither Nordstrom nor Amazon charge my cards until the stuff gets packaged up for shipping! Agree, I would cancel, too. I saw everlane pop up shop at our downtown Nordstrom and was not impressed with their shoes.
I also agree that they shouldn’t charge until shipped.
Boden has nice, cute, casual dresses.
My H texted me from work yesterday a meme of a penguin doing a happy dance. My credit card bill came with a ZERO balance.
Get out! How’s that? Ours will always have a balance as we only use one card. Food, gasoline, fixed charges will always be on it.
Since I haven’t bought any clothes for awhile, mine actually had a $350 credit in that category (for me), from refunds. A first.
@conmama - I have another card I use for groceries and gas.
The card with zero balance is a card I use for clothes and extras.
Uh-oh! I got a beautiful Rothy’s catalog in the mail today!
My one DC daughter is a big Rothy’s fan. I haven’t taken the plunge yet. I do love my All Birds loafers though.
I didn’t know Rothy’s sent catalogs!!
I got that catalog, too! I gaze longingly at my Rothy’s every morning as I put on my furry lined Birky’s and head to my computer on the kitchen island!
The one thing that is a bummer is I see new pretty things and think I want to buy them for summer to go out in! And then I stop myself and think why bother? I won’t be going out to any places, restaurants, bars, parties, concerts. It’s maybe going to be seeing friends in front yards or patios social distancing for a drink. Seems a waste of money to just buy stuff for that.
Just had to vent. Saw a pretty top today I’d buy in a nanosecond and said why? And I found that frustrating.
@conmama - I am right there with you. I know in the grand scheme of things shopping and acquiring fun new clothing isn’t that important, but it’s yet another reminder of how not normal things are. And, how we really have no clue when we will return to even a semblance of normal.
Additionally, I’m conflicted about helping out the economy v. burdening carriers via mail/UPS/FedEx, etc with items that are simply unnecessary at this juncture.
Lastly, I have concerns about spending money during these times on anything that is, essentially, a luxury.
It’s just all depressing as heck.
