Posting for a friend. After hearing back from all his colleges, he got waitlisted at his top choice (Case Western) and rejected at his other reaches/matches. He got accepted to his safeties with cash, but isn’t all that excited about them. He’s staying on the waitlist at Case, but in the meantime, he has to choose between Drew, Adelphi, and Hofstra.

1) Which school is best? He’s geeky and proud, wants to study physics, hoping for a good Jewish community, doesn’t want a big party scene. Size and setting don’t matter. For comparison, the other places he applied are Tufts, Wesleyan, Brandeis, and Wooster.

2) Anyone have fun, quirky facts or stories about any of those three schools? (He didn’t look at them very seriously because they were “just” his safeties - a big mistake - and now chances are he’ll be at one come September. So, you know, anything that might make him more excited about the possibility of attending.)

He’ll definitely visit all three before he chooses, but any input would be cool.
