<p>Well, Chicago sure is getting its share of national media attention this week. Ugh… this is disgusting:</p>

<p>Don’t you think her parents are freaking out about now?</p>
<p>I’m absolutely horrified. I’m also horrified that this man has custody of children. Are we watching a serial killer in slow motion?</p>
<p>I heard about this on Chicago talk radio this morning. The 2 female hosts were beyond horrified. They referred to Drew Peterson as a low level OJ in that he has “people” around him and never any shortage of girlfriends. A caller called in who had been a friend of his 3rd wife (the one that was found dead in the tub). They had been in nursing school together. Apparently, 3rd wife spoke often of the physical and emotional abuse and said her sons were terrified of their father. She also showed this caller notebooks that she had kept journaling the abuse. When this caller was quizzed about if she had ever contacted authorities, she said no, she was too afraid of Drew Peterson (whom she had never met). She said the Bolingbrook police department would never have taken her seriously and he would have retaliated against her.</p>
<p>Scary that young women fall for the older, “misunderstood by everyone” gentleman, who treats them really well.</p>
<p>Can’t the 23 yr old read? Hasn’t she ever heard of him? Why would any female even date him, let alone marry him?</p>
<p>***WHO ***would date him, much less marry him?</p>
<p>He’s pretty unattractive, absent everything else.</p>
<p>well, I’m glad to read my 22-year old daughter’s away message today is:</p>
<p>drew peterson is engaged?! any girl who is dumb enough to agree to marry a man accused of killing his last two wives needs to have her head examined</p>
<p>OMG. What is wrong with this woman?!?!?</p>
<p>…and where are her parents/friends/associates??? living under a rock???..what does she think? the third time’s a charm?</p>
<p>third time? NOT… this will be his fifth wife!</p>
<p>haha…didn’t realize that…what happened to the three that are still alive??</p>
<p>OK… fifth wife; that means two are dead, two are still alive, and this one will be his fifth. Of the two that are still alive, one has basically refused to speak to the media, and the other states their divorce was a ‘mutual’ decision (in another words, she’s not going to rat him out either). I suspect both of them fear for their lives if they talk. Wouldn’t you?</p>

<p>I hate to think this but I have a feeling we will be reading about his next wife once again in the news in a couple of years. And anybody who is supporting her decision to marry him will probably say at that time, that the media was wrong to describe him as a ‘monster’ and ‘wife killer’ or that they had no idea what he was really like.</p>
<p>Obviously the person who notified the papers doesn’t read Miss Manners; someone who is married cannot be engaged to marry someone else.</p>

<p>Apparently, Drew Peterson is seeking a “divorce” from his missing wife, Stacy.</p>

<p>OK… this 23-year old already has two children - four and five years old. At least they’re from the same dad (that she never married).</p>
<p>Now the uncle in Minnesota is speaking out against this news. Hopefully they can stage an intervention.</p>
<p>"Ernie Raines, 53, of Chicago said his daughter was the woman engaged to the ex-cop suspected in the disappearance of fourth wife Stacy Peterson.</p>
<p>“That ain’t going to happen,” Raines told the paper. “I’m doing everything I can to try to get her away from him. . . . I’d like to say to him: ‘Stay away from my daughter, take his ring back and look for his wife before he’s out trying to get another young girl.’”</p>
