I just finished my first full ap physics test and it was not good at all. I did fine on the multiple choice but the frq was horrible (as in I received a 25). I am on the edge as to whether or not I should drop the class. I know that everyone always gets a bad first test grade, but I don’t feel confident enough in myself to continue the class. I can’t help but be a student who can’t handle receiving a B. Should I stick it out? or should I just drop it and save my gpa? I honestly don’t want to drop because I want to challenge myself but I am way too scared of receiving a B. To put it into perspective, I also take ap calculus, ap chemistry, apush, and ap language. It’s a lot to handle but I know many who have managed it.
How was your score relative to the rest of the class?
Well, you might be in for a rude awakening in college, then.
Then don’t drop it, One B won’t make or break your application. Additionally, many top colleges recommend a year of physics.
LOL if you think you will earn a B in the class, you should stay. I am in AP Physics now (only ever received one B so far in high school and am now a senior) and I honestly think I would be happy to make a C. You sound fine.
Dont feel bad, I am dropping Honors Biology
You don’t want a B, but on another thread said you want an Ivy. What potential major? Hope you won’t say STEM.
Can you get tutoring help either through the school or privately?
