Can anyone tell me how normal it is in the US to take a class at a college or university? It almost seems like everyone on this board has done that…
I was just wondering how universities will look at me taking one single university class.
What colleges in the US won’t know is that I’ll be the first dual enrollment student in my school ever and that I needed a special permission, for which I had to take an IQ test, do a 3 hour psychological interview, an additional 1 hour interview with a university professor and get the approval of ALL my high school teachers and my principal, and that the university I’ll attend is a 1.5 hour ride from my school (fortunately I’ve got a sponsor who’ll pay for the train tickets). And all that just to take a simple linear algebra class.
Is it that complicated in the US, too?
