Duggars in the news.

Josh turned violent, says adult film star Danica Dillon about their paid encounter.

From InTouch:

After watching her show and “eyeballing me,” Danica says he bought $600 in private dances and then “asked me how would he be able to spend the evening with me.” She reveals to In Touch that Josh was violent with her when they had sex, he did not use protection and gave her thousands of dollars after their encounters.

If he was violent and short changed her the first time why did she agree to a second time?

Well, she’s probably making plenty of money by selling the story now!

Anna should be tested for STDs. How about an illegitimate Josh Duggar baby for the next scandal?

The plane is quite interesting. I saw episodes where John David flew various family members around the region, but I never realized they own the plane! From what I have read - it’s about $400,000! TLC income?

When I found out my #$%^ SIL was cheating on my brother the first thing I did was tell my brother to get tested for STDs in his mental state that wasn’t something that occurred to him.

The guy is obviously a hypocrite and all-around bad person, but I’m not sure how much credence I give to In Touch’s reporting, or to an unsubstantiated report of a prostitute who may be getting paid for the story.

Last post on the planes - that’s right - planes plural. Duggar Aviation LLC owns a 1977 Cessna and a 2004 Cirrus. The older plane is worth about $40,000 and the newer one maybe $200,000 - not as much as my earlier post stated - but still! You can track the planes on Flightsware - but it is not always a Duggar pilot - they rent them out also.

I like the times on Flightaware - the plane landed in Rockport IL and departed 8 minutes later! That was quite a sendoff for Josh.

In Touch? They broke the molestation story in May and have been pretty on point. Danica Dillon passed a lie detector test. His phony FB page showed he was friends with her and interacting. I buy it.

One thought is that they bought 2nd hand or planes that had been repossessed, so maybe auction prices.

Airplanes are expensive to maintain and fly. Fuel, maintenance, a zillion fees, hangar space rental, insurance, etc., etc., etc.

Well, if I was the pilot, I don’t know how long I’d want to be on the ground in case someone was using Flightaware and was following the plane! Wouldn’t want anyone to find me and ask a bunch of questions. I’ll bet that 8 minutes was a long, long 8 minutes.

I’ve used Flightaware before, but to follow my own family as they’re traveling, not anyone else… hadn’t really thought of that before.

If they are renting them out maybe they are making money on them? Sounds like it might be a smart move to me. Also if they used them for travel for the show maybe a some can be written off as a business expense?

If it is a business expense for the production of a reality show, are costs associated with time spent with Danica Dillon deductible?

.Here’s the Reformers rule book. The second page shows their daily schedule. There is prayer. Lots and lots, but no counseling. One of the rules is that you not mention much less discuss your former life. This is not a real mental health facility. “Talking about old habits and lifestyles is against God’s word and is not permitted”

There is no such thing as a sex addiction. Addiction carries a physiological component. He will not get the D.T’s if he doesn’t get to view porn for a day.

Since the stripper/hooker describes Josh as being violent I wonder if he has been violent with his wife. I hope not.

Here’s a short news story from last spring on the program. I wonder if he has a chemical abuse issue?

From the application: “Our schools boast a success rate that is unparalleled in comparison to secular addiction programs.”

That doesn’t necessarily mean its success rate is better – only that it is unparalleled. Whatever that means.

Also, look at the daily schedule. It’s different for men and women. On Saturdays, women “clean buildings.” Men never do.

Woke up this morning to a newspaper headline that said that Josh may be in a rehab facility in our town. Can’t say that I’m real excited…

I wonder if he’ll be able to stick it out. I can’t help but wonder if he’s starting to think that all the God stuff is a bunch of hooey. I mean, why else would he have done what he did if he’s still all gung-ho about it? There’s an obvious contradiction in there. So how will going to a Christian rehab place help, if he’s already deep down decided that it’s a bunch of hooey?

I think this is going to be interesting. I don’t think we’ve heard the last of Josh Duggar yet.

There ought to be a law against using the title “Dr.” in anything that relates to running a mental health facility. “Dr.” Paul Kinbsbury’s doctorates are not only from bible colleges, they’re honorary!

Pure speculation on my part, but I wonder what it does to a small child’s psyche to grow up the “oldest” child of a large, legalistic, family.

For years Josh probably had to squash and/or hide every feeling he ever had. Is it any wonder that he is numbed out and addicted. Jana’s way of coping is to be the ever-helpful, dutiful daughter with no life of her own. I’ve always felt that they “value” their daughters more, probably because they’re more compliant and they are a big part of the operation. So she gets more of a “pay-off” for squashing her feelings. Jim Bob is the stag in that family, and there’s probably not much room for any other dominant males.

I’m not justifying Josh’s behavior at all (there is no justification, but that’s between him, God, and his family and people that he’s hurt). IMHO the best thing he could do would be to break out of the Duggar enmeshment and figure things out for himself. And he has to deal with the natural consequences of his actions.

I guess the way I look at it is - his family-of-origin is a part of his issues and thus they can’t be part of the solution. But I don’t expect him to ever see the light on that. I can’t help but feel sorry for him, but even more I feel sorry for his children and Anna. Praying that he gets REAL help (which it doesn’t sound like is happening).

Anyone who has ever worked through issues in therapy that are tied to their family of origin knows that it is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to do so with a family like the Duggars. I spent some time in therapy and I remember my therapist talking about getting her patients on their feet, finally breaking old issues and habits, and then they would go home for the holidays, and her appointment calendar would be booked solid patching the people back together. Given the nature of the Duggar family, how controlling it is, etc, even if Josh were getting professional help the minute he went back home to the family, it is likely his crap would start again.

After reading the description of the ‘treatment’ facility, there is no way it will do anything for anyone. One of the things both spiritual counseling, and secular therapy/counseling, both ask of a person is to look at what they did, understand how it was hurting them and others, acknowledge it, then move on towards being whole and if necessary, making amends with anyone caught in the crossfire of what they did. The idea of looking back not being consistent with God’s word and such is idiotic, and it goes against many religious principles, too, it reminds me of what many of the born again crowd seem to believe, that whatever you do, Jesus forgives you and that is all you need. They must read a very different Bible then I have, the traditions of both the Hebrew and New Testaments are all about looking back and making amends and such and taking accountability for what you have done.
