<p>As lrose2011 said (being the referenced best friend), we’re from the backwoods of NC and about an hour away from Durham.
I go down there frequently, since almost all of my extended family lives there, which helped in my Why Duke essay. :]</p>
<p>ok so I went onto my duke account and It said that the mid year report wasn’t done yet, but since I applied ED I don’t need the midyear report, just the first quarter grades right? because i’m kinda nervous now…</p>

<p>You’re fine. The majority, if not all schools have yet to complete their second quarter, and you can’t complete the midyear report without your second quarter grades, so you’re good, :]
No one has submitted it yet, and you will only need to if you get accepted or deferred.</p>
<p>It’s literally the best time to visit campus and attend a couple of college parties while still in high school. It’s mad fun.</p>

<p>I must admit that I can attest to this fact. Its possibly one of the funnest things i’ve ever done.</p>
<p>do you guys know if duke is going to admit the same number or same percentage as last year or if they’re going to admit fewer early?</p>
<p>I would bet that they will admit as many if not more early applicants. That has always been the trend, and Dean Guttentag has said publicly that if the applicant pool is strong he would feel comfortable admitting a larger number of ED applicants.</p>
