that video just makes me want to go to duke even more aghhhhhh

Less than 50 hours.

I think the last 10 will be the worst.

About facebook statuses - if I get in, I’m definitely going to make one, but I’ll probably tell my closest friends first. If it’s bad news, that’s a different story.

It’s such a weird feeling knowing that our decisions have already been made, but we won’t know until Tuesday…

@sunflowersummer

my thoughts exactly! I will definitely post a status if I am accepted, but I will call my brother and close friends first. If I get deferred or rejected…maybe I’ll just send them a text so I don’t have to face the questions later :(

^ Ehh, I think the questions are inevitable. So many people have already asked me if I heard yet (thank you mother for spreading it around your book group :/). Oooh, texting is a good idea though!

and hello goldfish25, welcome to the stress thread :)

i’m going to hate questions. people at my school think i’m smarter than i actually am. >.> i think most of them expect me to get in. but yeahhhhhhhhhno not happening.

I just hate how everyone keeps asking me if i’ve heard yet, and I left only to reply…Tuesday at 6pm, sharp…

That video made me way more stressed. California is highly represented which is bad for me and i would definitely be in the bottom 25%. Lets go athletic recruiting lol

^^ yes! 5 PM here, but one of my teachers is holding a review session until 5:30. At least I won’t be sitting in front of the computer hitting F5, F5, F5, F5…

Honestly, at this point I feel like answering everyone’s questions and having to tell them I was deferred/rejected might actually be worse than the bad news itself. :|

Me too, it would just rehash the experience :(

@LawderTrain

I’m from Stamford.

But HOPEFULLY that won’t even be an issue, and I’ll only have good news to brag about. Positive thinking, right? I mean, there’s not much else we can do at this point. sigh

@bdplease119

thats a good point…im expecting rejection, and i honestly dont want to think of having to tell everyone I didn’t get in, especially with how much I talk about it…worse for me though, is when my best friend gets in, and I don’t. I’ll be more than ecstatic for her, she deserves it, but the whole separation thing as we’ve been friends for 13 years, is going to pose an issue.

I’m so glad my friends are applying RD.
Not because I think they’re better applicants, but because the odds are so low that Duke is going to accept all 4 of us when they haven’t taken somebody from my high school…hmm, I don’t know how long ago?

Whatever the reason, we just don’t have a lot of people wanting to go OOS. This year is unusual.

@bdplease119

agreed. it’s just going to be another reminder that we didn’t get into our dream school ):

@lrose2011

I can totally relate. My best friend is also applying (but RD, thank god), and I don’t even know what I’ll do if she gets in and I don’t. She’s an INCREDIBLE applicant, and I’ll be thrilled for her, but it’ll suck soooooooooooooooooooo bad. I just have my fingers crossed that we’ll both get in, because it’d be beyond amazing to be roomies. :P

@cheekboy34

Exactly. And it’s worse to have to tell someone you got rejected from ED, because it’s obvious that you REALLYYYY wanted it. sigh

totally, she’s WAYYYYY more qualified than I am, so it makes sense for her to go and not me, but roomies is our dream at this moment, and we’re only waiting till tuesday to crush it. we’ve been comparing driving times from our, dare i say, backup schools, and lets just say the prospects arent great.

i think i’m the only one in my school that’s applying ED. and we’re nationally ranked. sigh i hope that helps…
