Denied. The fact that my daughter wants to be a nurse and couldnāt do that at Duke until after she got a B.A./B.S. degree does make this easier. My older is graduating in May with a Duke degree. Congratulations to all who were accepted! Beautiful campus and a great school.

What was the portal astrology? Congrats to you!
In-state. GPA 4.0 unweighted. School doesnāt rank or weight GPA, but top of class. Applied test optional (didnāt break SAT 1500 so decided to use her energy elsewhere.) Took max APs offered and has scored well on those, strong leadership and service ECs. Collaborated with peers and faculty to implement an action-research Capstone that had measurable impact on campus. Accomplished artist (classical ballet, choreographer). I feel like her stats donāt fully represent her application. Her essays were solid and really painted a picture of who she is and wants to become. She used the additional info section really well and had great teacher recommendations. After deferral, she wrote a creative LOCI, which I felt like was super compelling.
