It’s not as easy as transferring from Pratt to Trinity. However, I know when I visited and consulted with a number of staff members and advisors, that was the path they recommended for me. It is possible!
@blue2024 What that means is that they don’t need it. Which probably means that you may not qualify for financial aid, doesn’t mean you won’t get money from other areas. My form says waved on Parent 1 W-2 and that is because I own my own business and do not have a W-2. the nice thing is you can always call the financial aid office and ask them what that means or if you still need to get the paperwork. They are really helpful but probably will not give you any more clarity until you get the letter tomorrow night.
Good luck tomorrow everyone! You all must be very accomplished students to be applying to Duke and no matter what happens this week you will be very successful in college, your career, and life! Fingers crossed for my D20…
Duke admissions was live on Reddit @ 7pm to answer questions. The link for video posted on this thread regarding ( assumption) how Duke admissions ranks their applications for Pratt and Trinity is not necessarily true at least for the past 15 years. Someone asked this question referring to the link and Duke admissions answered it very differently.
@bluejay20 thanks for the heads -up on the Reddit, it was an interesting read. I did like how positive they stayed. I’m ready to get the results so my daughter and I can take a breath, move forward and process what’s next. The link I posted earlier from youtube was pretty good because it told how they rate the sections of the application.
I think it’s a reflection of the fact that more applicants than ever are using reddit for information and the format changes that CC made to this site 1-2 years ago. CC is harder to use now and a lot less fun because of the changes.
I just talked to my guidance counselor about that. Somehow he already had the accepted numbers, and there were 4,200 applicants: 825 were accepted. Let’s see what happens!
This does not seem correct. Last year 4,852 applied early decision and 882 accepted. 18% acceptance rate.
You are suggesting that the 2019 ED acceptance rate is now going UP to 19.6%, applications are down 13% and they accepted 57 fewer students? They haven’t had that low # of accepted students since 2015. I’ll wait until Duke officially releases the numbers later today before I believe it.
