@LAforDuke You will definitely benefit as a URM applicant (African-American). As for your region, I can see that going two different ways. Duke might see the low ACT score for your school as an indication that it is not as rigorous. However, IF you have scored high marks on all of your AP exams, then they would NOT think of it this way. If you got high scores on all your AP exams, they would probably be happy you challenged yourself and excelled in comparison to your peers, and that would help you for sure. Your ACT score is just one part of your application, so I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Plus, now all we can do is wait.

Everyone–the past two years, decisions have been released the Thursday BEFORE the 15th. Hopefully it’s the same this year, but they better let us know soon!

@pearmetty most ED applicants get an interview I believe. They’re given on a first come-first served basis and if an alumni can’t give you an interview in time you simply won’t get one for that reason or there isn’t an alumni near you/not enough alumni. Whether you get an interview or not is in no way related to how competitive you are
Based on previous years, we will probably receive an email setting an exact time and date for decisions by the weekend. I swear time is moving backwards at this point…
But will we get an e-mail telling us when we can see our decisions or will we just have to check the portal everyday and hope to see a notification or something?
