They haven’t released any data on how many ED applicants there are this year correct? If I remember correctly last year’s pool was an overall decrease in numbers compared to the year before that. I’m curious to see what occurred this time.

My S school Q1 doesnt end until Nov16! Not sure how they will send but hope they do. He has a 99 right now in BC. I would have about a 39%!

@Mango920452 i haven’t been contacted either and i turned in my app on friday 10/30. I’m from Colorado and i feel like there are a fair amount of alum here.
@a1h313 yeah I live in a region that has some alumni too, but I haven’t been contacted for one. I guess not all alumni do interviews.
Hey guys, do you know if Duke really wants the Optional Common App report for the first quarter grades? Because I was asking the registrar and she said that she just sends in the report card, which will be available for me this Thursday, and doesn’t fill out the Optional Common App Report. I’m asking my counselor tomorrow if she has to fill it out, but I’m just a little confused and am wondering what you guys did with it?

Live in Charlotte (with a large alumni base) and still haven’t been contacted. Is there a date where we can assume if that since we haven’t been contacted, an interview won’t happen?
The email said " In the event that you are not offered an interview, you are welcome to submit an additional letter of recommendation in place of the interview by November 13 by fax to +1 919 668 1661 or by email to undergrad-admissions@duke.edu"
If we have to send additional recommendations in place of the interview by Nov. 13, which is like in 3 days, I assume that we won’t be offered any interviews.

I hope the entire applicant pool isn’t full of people who have won major research awards. I’m from a really small town, so we don’t really have access to any of that here . I hope Duke reads applications based on where they come from
