EA Class of 2022

Accepted from northern VA w 12k schol… not as much as I was expecting so idk if NU is worth it. Oh well… still glad to be accepted!

4.121 GPA, 33 ACT, 1500 SAT

deferred from CA

ACT 33, UW 3.7, super good EC and leadership, good essay & letter of recs

Accepted for Economics. 1380 SAT a 10.0/10.0 GPA in 9th and 10th grade and a 96% in 11th and 12th grade. As I study in India

woah the number of high stat students that got deferred is kind of crazy. I expected to get into North Eastern and wasn’t really shocked by my acceptance (because of Naviance). But now I feel incredibly blessed and lucky.

NJ
3.7 UW/4.2 W GPA
1560 SAT
11 APs
Lots of ECs (president of 4 clubs, several internships)
Business (Marketing) major with a 21k Merit Scholarship and the Honors college

MA
4.77/5 GPA UW 3.81/4?
35 ACT
800 Math 2 + Physics

Does anyone know how NEU compares to UMass CS? It’s ranked a lot lower, but I like NEU’s COOP.

Accepted in CA w/$20k per year merit. 34 ACT, 4.3GPA. Higher cost than our first choice school so easy decision to decline. Good luck to everyone!

Weaknesses: essays, I’m white
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I’m not a pansexual cello player from Idaho
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: deferred from columbia, deferred from UChicago accepted to fordham w honors, waiting on another 14 schools

General Comments: I gave it my all… and I’m not giving up. Deferral ain’t stopping me. Process is a bit unfair in my opinion but it’s out of my control. Congrats to the ppl who got in you guys deserved it way more than me! To my fellow deferees, hang in there: maybe the admissions gods will give us a second look. To those rejected, don’t be too hard on yourself, the college process is a crapshoot, a crapshoot that plays big favorites.

Yours truly,

handep

[ b]General Comments & Advice:**
Congrats to everyone that got accepted, to those that didn’t, you’ll find your place!! To those waiting for usc merit this week, we’re all in this together.

Hi all- I’ve spent the past couple of hours reading (most of) these frantic posts. As a current NU student, I remember three years ago feeling this same stress around decision time. I applied EA, and am sitting with a friend who did, too. She was deferred, I was not, but here we are now, together, both at Northeastern. Point being: decisions are stressful. College is certainly stressful. But, take the time to enjoy this present time in life before making this big change to college. It’s easy to want all the answers and options laid out at once- I’m certainly calling the kettle black with that one. But be patient, and believe that everything happens for a reason.

Accepted from CA!!
