EA Class of 2022

deferred- wasn’t surprised after looking at other applicants here, but am kinda surprised after seeing the people that got in from my school because i know that i had similar/better stats

Accepted from CT.

GPA 4.80/5.0 on Naviance, SAT 1480. Lots of extracurriculars- swimming, flute, three club presidents. Boarding school. Strong recs, top of the class.

Accepted TN, 36 ACT, 3.9 UW gpa, CS. Good ECs but not tech related. $16k scholarship and honors. Still really expensive.

When we set up our portal does that mean we are accepting the offer?

@Tennisboy2022 No

Since this was EA, my essay was a bit unpolished but i still thought it was a solid 7.5 ~ 8 / 10.

a bit disappointed but what can u do about it? LOL fingers crossed. good luck to the rest of you too!!

@TomSrOfBoston Thank You!

Congrats to all who got in. Our patience has finally paid off. For those who didn’t hear good news today. I’m sure other good colleges are right around the corner.

Maine-deferred from engineering
1500 Sat (800 math, 700 reading)
3.8 uw 4.05 w
10 AP’s
Over 200 volunteer hours
Many Leadership positions

Deferred with a 1270 SAT, 3.74 UW, 4.28 W, top 6% of my class. PA resident. Also submitted a video supplement of my musicianship, even though I’m applying undecided. Unique, risky essay. I think this shows that NU cares about more than just test scores, which makes me like them even more! There’s still a glimmer of hope

Deferred FL 1450 SAT(800 M, 650RW) 3.4 UW GPA

Anyone accepted into the Nursing program?

DEFFERED and pretty surprised at first but after reading all the comments i’m realizing that EDII really screwed a lot of us over. they have to see how strong the EDII applicants are before taking chances any of us.

U.S. State/Territory or Country: MA
School Type: Public suburban
Ethnicity: white
Gender: female
Income Bracket Range: 130K+
Hooks (URM, first generation, recruited athelete, development): none

[ b]Reflection**

Strengths: GPA, extracurriculars
Weaknesses: definitely my math II score and my Calc BC score, no major awards, SAT not that high
Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: definitely my GPA and courseload, also I’m a very passionate person and I think I was able to convey that in my extracurriculars and my essay
What would you have done differently?: I didn’t study for either of my standardized tests (SAT or ACT) and didn’t study for my subject test scores either. Definitely do that.
Where else did you apply? Cornell, UPenn, UChicago (all reaches), UVA, BU (targets), UMass, Temple, GWU, Tulane (safeties)

[ b]General Comments & Advice:** Make sure your Common App essay conveys something important about you. I was very honest and talked about how having an abusive parent made me an absolute control freak and how I learned to let go of my desire for control. Also, Northeastern definitely values GPA very highly.

Anyone accepted as a Politics, Philosophy, and Economics major?
