Accepted (college of liberal arts) :slight_smile: OOS. 1530 SAT and ~100 average. Wasn’t offered honors college though, which is a little disappointing

I don’t think that’s the case. If there’s a big trend in a major where accepted’s decline the offer, they could start pulling before then.

For those that were accepted that plan to go elsewhere, please decline your VT acceptance, asap, then. Maybe my son still has a chance. I’m still shocked
especially after seeing lower stats on some of the people that are accepted. I do realize that stats don’t tell the whole story, too, but they have to tell some of the story.

Trust me - the info posted this year won’t be predictive of what you can expect next year, nor will it reduce confusion when class of 2025 results are posted. This is an eyedropper’s worth of data in an ocean.

Small merit award ($1400), No Honors (I didn’t think he applied for Honors?). Have others seen the Merit yet? Click on Financial Aid. Please include this info if you see it.

I’m confused on the Early Action process. If you’re waitlisted - you don’t go to the regular decision list?

What does everyone’s financial aid award look like? Mine only has listed a few lines of aid granted (loans, grants, etc.) but nothing to help figure out the actual cost.

That would be deferred, which VT doesn’t do for EA, since RD is in 2 weeks. This list is really just to make sure they hit the number of students they want in this class. They are being overly cautious because of last year, which I think was to be expected.
