We probably should’ve gone reg. decision as daughter’s grades have been much improved this (senior) year. Would they defer her to wait for fall semester grades? We are debating asking them to switch her to reg. decision? If she is close on other criteria, wouldn’t they defer her anyway? She had a 3.67 with great test scores. This year, 4.0 both quarters so far.
Unfortunately they won’t switch anyone to regular decision at this point. I tried as well. On a positive note, if she were to be deferred, her chances of being admitted are good at UVA. There is a reason they defer.
