Early Action Notification

I just called the admissions office and the recording says Early Action results will be released on Friday. Such an intelligent school, such ambiguous answers. Does released mean the letters will go in the mail Friday? Does it mean we can call on Friday? I have school but if anyone is home and can call and get clarification that would be awesome. The lack of sleep is killing me, thanks.

i’m going insane… and i’m on the west coast… which probably means no letter until next week. why can’t they let us check online?

hah i have to go to school now and i feel so sick = (
all of this is making me intensely nervous…and i am NOT coming home to an empty mailbox!

i know me either!! school is going to be torture today!! every class I sit and figure out how long until the mailman will be putting that letter into my mailbox (2 oclock…)

Same, RunRinCT! I refuse to start the weekend letterless

:-(

if i dont get a letter today, georgetown is guaranteed to get a very unhappy phone call from me. if i’m deferred, so be it. but i WANT to know already.

i hope the admissions process isnt a reflection on the university as a whole. they need to get their act together!

I’m going mailman hunting in 10 minutes, once this period is out. I hear they’re in season right now…

any chance of decision letter arriving to puerto rico within two or three weeks?

LaLara I agree. I’ve had some problems in the admissions process as well and its been hard to get in touch with the people that I need to talk to. I hope this is only true for admissions, not Georgetown as a whole.

Well, hopefully I’ll get the letter in NC today, but I’m counting on Saturday or Monday.

The admissions process may be frustrating, but I assure you that is not true of the University as a whole. Whenever I have emailed a Dean or Professor I have hardly been able to refresh my inbox before I received a reply. Everyone is very accessible and eager to help. This is especially true for the lucky MSB freshmen who get Emily for a dean.

That’s awesome CNY06. Great news to hear. The admissions process is only frustrating, because when you waiting for something, 2 days difference seems like an era.

Excellent. Not in the mail and Georgetown won’t tell you by phone. Somebody shoot me. Like, now.

This is not good news. Yesterday I was assured that the results would be given over the telephone if we did not get them in the mail today. TODAY, when the mail came with no letter, I called the school and they said “Sadly, you were given the wrong information, and you can only call the school for the result on MONDAY.” I really am surprised at Georgetown. The admissions process is pretty rough.

Where do you all live? I might get mine today or tommorrow. SInce I live in Mass.

New Jersey

Damn that means I won’t get mine either. Although, you never know. Could have sent them out in sets. Someone got theirs yesterday.

Florida…

I live right near the place where all the mail goes when it comes into mass, so sometimes i get things quickly. Not gonna get mine either. Someone in MD got theirs yesterday. All of my friends have heard/All the people I know have heard, and about 35 people I’d say, got into their first choices earlY!

Can anyone say whether an envelope visible within the small envelope indicates the decision?

are u serious? how could we not get them in the mail today OR call? I thought it said the deadline is the 15th to tell us. They can’t go past the deadline??
