<p>All I’ve seen added to the blog is that they commented on some questions people had but none of it said anything about how to check your status or when those would be released.</p>

<p>^Yup. As stated before, it has to do with confidentiality and the stability of their admissions infrastructure. They’ll get bombarded with phone calls if they told one person when they’re coming.</p>

<p>First post for me here to respond to the recent java missive on the UNC admissions blog: I get the attempt at levity, but for the love of Pete - release the decisions!</p>
<p>They deleted the coffee post!</p>
<p>I think they’re trying to mess with us!</p>
<p>My mom just called admissions the woman said they will be emailing us sometime next week with instructions to check online…</p>
<p>I was really considering writing on that post. Something like “you probably could have decided on some applications instead of doing this”</p>

<p>Maybe the coffee post was not supposed to be the one they put up… maybe the check your account one will appear? I suspect they are saying next week when people call to get everyone to leave them alone…</p>
<p>That would be cutting it really close to their deadline for releasing decisions. Surely it’ll be this week.</p>

<p>They did get 1000 more applicants this year but the thing I don’t get is clearly they have the decisions because they sent out the scholarship day invitations last week so why can’t they just release them already!!</p>
