sigh
Let’s try this again, shall we?
For all who have been wallowing in the awkwardness of deferral (moi) or who applied EDII to Wes, hello!
We have about a month and a half until decisions, but I thought we could get in touch earlier because it’s a brutal wait.
Happy New Year to everyone!

Happy New Year! Don’t drink and drive.

happy new year! 2010 will bring better college news, i’m sure!

Ahhh one month!

Haha, hold onto your horsies prefrosh :)

Haha they are held tight. I’ve come to terms with the possibility of rejection and I’m pretty excited about some other schools too, so I’m sure everything will work out somehow. :)

I’m applying early decision and I am so nervous!!! I want to get in so badly! haha!

If you aren’t accepted to ED II do you get rolled over into RD?

I think it depends on whether you’re rejected or deferred into RD.

So if you are deferred you go into RD, ah I see, thanks!

Hi! I’m Emily, and I applied EDII. I can’t believe that three weeks from today I’ll find out the decision! I, too, have come to terms with the likelihood of rejection, but if acceptance is in my future, I’ll be thrilled. Wesleyan is just an incredible place; I’ve visited and interviewed and every person to whom I’ve spoken has confirmed my belief that this is the school for me. So for now I’m crossing my fingers!

I’m Madi, and I completely agree with you Emillionare!

Good luck ED II :)

hey all…I realize this is a little after the fact but I just wanted some clarification. My letter from ed1 pool says that they would like to reevaluate me with the ed2 and regular applicant pool, and then it says that ed2 responses are in february. ive been deferred to ed2, not regular, right? I understand this sounds stupid but i just got an email from one of my college counselors saying that i was deferred to regular.
thanks

hey everyone!
im right here with youuu. i just want to know already!

did anyone send in their mid-year reports yet?

rte, has your counselor been in contact with the office? I wonder why he/she would say that. The letter seems to imply you’re for ED, but my letter makes no mention of the RD pool which makes me think you’re deferred to RD… you should definitely call to confirm that.

ya because it says in the context of the ed and whole application pool, but then goes on to say when ed people find out and also says that i need to contact them if i dont want to be in the binding ed program…maybe it means that im in ed but can still be deferred to regular or something? i guess ill have to contact them and see

Oh, I was wondering about the mid year reports… my counselor is a bit um lost in the age of the Grateful Dead… so for the midyear report is it just basically your up to date transcript???

Yep, just updated grades. My gc is a little confused too, haha. We just send the newest report card, not the normal transcript form.
I got my midterm grades back and I didn’t do so hot in AP Bio. Goodbye Wes. :(

heyyy “expect nothing, hope for everything” haha
