Early Decision II - Class of 2014

do we hear the 15th or did they come up with some other date like in ED1
and do midyear reports actually count for anything? i actually did a lot better lol so i hope it does

Yup, midyear grades do count. I know they definitely do for deferred applicants, not so sure about regular but I’m assuming they’re still important. Just got the email, we find out next Friday at 3 pm. This is gonna be a longggg week…

if they don’t receive midyear grades by 2/15, will it matter?

or 2/12 as they said in the email

ayy. got the email last night. i hope they sent it out randomly… not rejects first. this is going to be a long week! Does this mean that they have already made the decisions? If so, I hope they had enough time to look at our fall semester grades and whatnot. It was only a few days ago that the semester grades showed up on WesCheck…

Thanks, Wesleyan, for sending an email with the MOST MISLEADING SUBJECT LINE EVER!

3 and a half days guys…

I’m more calm than I was the first time… which isn’t saying much…

why was the subject line misleading?
yeah paintmepurple im calm too…doesn’t seem like many people applied ED II

13 and a half hours, haha, now I’m buggin…

omg guys 3 hours!!! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! =D
i have a feeling im not going to get in =[

Deferred.

**… That. .

I thought they didn’t defer people ED2 since it was so close to the deadline?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS wesfest here i come

AHHHH! I’m so happy for you, Sleepyz!!! :D:D:D

AND to everyone else who got accepted: CONGRATULATIONS! I hope to see you all this April! :)

Rejected. Congrats to all who were accepted!

PMP-Where are you? What happened? I’ve been hoping and praying for you! If you’re not posting, that makes me worried. Hopefully you’re too busy celebrating with champagne, (with your parents, of course!) Please let us know…this is your thread!

deferred.

that little bit about less than 25% of kids getting accepted in April was just so uplifting.
but i think i cried my eyes out already

holy cow! i nearly yelled at the top of my lungs when i saw my acceptance letter online at work! Congrats to everyone else who got accepted and for those deferred keep your head up high your not out of the fight just yet.

yeah seriously, that little 25% bit was unnecessary. like, thanks a bunch for that wes, way to keep hope alive.

i would really like to see stats on what % gets deferred/goes on to get in. is wes a school that just defers everybody only to later reject them, or do their deferrals tend to really mean something? anybody have any ideas?

Accepted.
I’m really happy right now – I can’t wait to meet all of you this Spring and Fall!

Quite the contrary, typing through tears.
For anyone who’s reading this in the future, be very careful about getting your heart set on this school, or any school for that matter. Rejection hurts.
Congrats to everyone accepted, really. I’m happy for all of you, best of luck (not that you’ll need it, as you’re all stellar!).
