So when I first got my admissions decision, there was a letter that began somewhat like “Honored and impressed” and discussed my admission as an Echols Scholar.

However, I just got my admissions packet in the mail and the letter didn’t mention being an Echols Scholar; I also checked SIS and the letter on there has since changed to a generic letter of admission.

What exactly happened? Was I just a finalist or something and didn’t make it? Or am I still an Echols Scholar and they just changed the letter for some reason? I’m just a little confused, if anybody could explain for me I would really appreciate it. haha

Thanks.

EDIT: My mistake, I got the invitation to become an Echols Scholar via email. I would still appreciate confirmation that receiving a “generic” (I say that merely to contrast an email mentioning the Echols Program) acceptance letter doesn’t mean I’m not an Echols Scholar, if anybody could please provide that, though. Thank you! :D
