ECs

Are a few, focussed ECs better than many random ones?
Next summer I plan to apply to the UCI Premed Summer Program, and/or the Stanford med program. I also plan to ask a professor from some local university like UCLA or UCI (I live in Orange County) if I can do research/internship at their lab. I also volunteer at the hospital.
I know that I don’t have a ton of ECs, but they are all geared towards medicine. Is this better than having a variety of ECs like volunteering at the library, hospital, community center, etc. at the same time?

It’s better to have them focused because it shows the admission officers that you have a goal which is great. Those are some excellent EC’s by the way, it seems like you have a lot of opportunities and it’s good that you’re using every last of it. :)

A few focused ECs or several ECs that sort of relate to each other

Thanks
