My school schedules senior year english/ss classes in a block format, meaning we have two options:

AP English/H SS
H English/AP Government

I took APUSH this year, and have yet to take any AP english classes. I really don’t know what I should take, from what I hear, you should definitely have a year of AP English, is this true? (I don’t really mind either class, although essays are kind of tedious)

Any choice is alright. AP English is not a must. If you like history and hate English, you’ll be better off sticking with Government.

However, if you’d like to diversify your APs a little, AP English might be good for you.

I’ve never heard of Social Studies being called SS. In my school, those letters letters stand for Summer School. Also, as you may know the SS was a Nazi paramilitary organization, so we rip on people going to summer school in a sad way. :)

Wow… a 1200 posts. Over two years…

AP English may prepare you a little more for writing essays in college
