"Election and Politics" forum is closed!

It was an excellent resource to take the pulse of the educated class on political and economic issues. They have made a big mistake.

Better make religion the next on the list.

Followed by affirmative action.

ooh, keep posting more like that, crescent-- that’ll help me win the bet that they’ll close this thread by day’s end!

I think we’re on the verge of all holding hands and singing “Feelings.”

There once was a thread in the forum
That had varying levels of decorum
writing limericks of it’s loss
caused no work, maddening my boss
but I’ve got a million more 'em

No wonder you keep trying to win your bet, jym, if you have a million more of those limericks in your head! That’s a new kind of earworm, I think.

Funny story, Anonymous. Where there’s a will, there’s a way…

There once was a CC poster from Nantucket
who had posted things by the bucket.
When told of a thread
and that now it was dead,
Said ex-poster replied – well, _____ it!

Well timed, 07DAD, in response to crescent’s post!!!

07dad:

Lol

Hi, I have a college “friend” who is thinking about declaring a poli-sci major. The “friend” has asked for my assessment of this current event: ________________________. Can you CC posters help my college “friend” with some input?

Not to pick a nit, but I think it would have been more accurate to name the poster Nantuckem.

There once was a forum on CC
That had zero appeal to many.
Politics can enrage
When strong personalities engage.
That is why it has now ceased to be.

There once was a thread in the forum
That had varying levels of decorum
Best posters earn feathers in their cap
worst posters were full of cr*p
when they went for butts, ripped and tore’em

jym, you’re grounded. Go back to work! Either that or you’ve already started the wine.

And 07DAD, you’re all sorts of trouble, I can tell.

Razorsharp,

Sorry my box was full. I cleared some space.

busdriver-
its 6:45 and I am still at the office. I work for myself. Should I fire myself? (I took poetic license with the “boss” line in the limerick)

When the restriction of thoughts and speech, history shows the the downfall of the education system and that civilization’s era.

Yes, I sort of remember the old forum. I am just amazed at how much time has passed yet I have not aged a bit.:)

Absolutely so, LongPrime!

Maybe you should give yourself the night off, jym, you just might need it. And maybe if you weren’t wasting so much time on limericks you’d have had your work done by now. Like I’m one to talk, I’ve taken forever to get very little work done.

How long ago did the forum change? I remember the style changing, but I still use the old style.
