Please, PLEASE join in!!

And you posted that here?? Ironic??? LOL

Yes, those were quite hilarious. I generally can’t stand them either, but today’s have been great. jym has really been on a roll, I think she (or he) would give Bogney a run for his money. You really need to consider coming over to the dark side, jym, we can always use someone with such clever punnage.

Don’t forget, the dark side has chocolate, cupcakes and cookies, as well as wine. :)

How is that ironic? I didn’t come on this thread about the Politics forum just to bash it. I came on to support it. The opposite of what people do who log on, read the whole Royal Family wedding thread just to bash the Royal Family.

I’ve actually never been on a thread that’s been shut down which did not prominently feature JYM. Just sayin’ :p

I’d suggest you join us on the dark side. We have moderate bakesales over there from time to time. There is crumbcake.

The way I see it, you are complaining about posters who come into a thread to complain about the topic.

And I had many amusing witty, fun repartees with Bogney-- go read the one about Obama’s colonoscopy. That was a riot!! I actually PM’ed bogney earlier today to ask if he’d write the eulogy. He said he was “cogitating”

Oh, the crumbcake is particularly delicious today. Have some with a glass of fresh milk. Mmmmm.

Glad you supported it, 3bm103, feel free to join us also.

“I’ve actually never been on a thread that’s been shut down which did not prominently feature JYM.” That’s interesting. Is jym a troublemaker, or just good at getting things shut down? Or just in the right place at the right time?

Crumbcake, poetgrl, crumbcake? Nobody likes crumbcake, it’s dry and…crumbly, yuck! My gosh, only a moderate like you would offer something so bland and tasteless. Except for, I see, Samurai.
Well, maybe you have a really good receipe.

no thanks, poetgrl.
And while I thank you (???) for thinking I posted in many closed threads, thats far from accurate.

Samurai
makes the crumbcake, busdriver. I have NO doubt it is ambrosiac.

I’m a cinnamon bun girl, extra icing. ;)

busdriver,

My sister has a delicious recipe for crumbcake. I am sure she will make you a tray. It’s moist and cinnamon-ny.

If you don’t want crumbcake, we can find you something else. How about struedel?

JYM, I’m teasing.

But, I’ve also only ever posted on three shut down threads, and you were featured. I’m also just teasing. Never met a witty reparte I couldn’t appreciate.

I didn’t frequent that forum but I am still trying to figure out how circumcision relates to either politics or elections. Isn’t that the kind of topic that could conceivably end up in the cafe? I can totally picture a thread titled, “Who here has circumcised?” So what is the criteria? Where is the line?

Enough poetgrl and busdriver. This isn’t about me and you know it. Did my best to keep this thread lively and entertaining. Those posts above were out of line. No poster is “featured”. Keep it up and I’ll win that prize for sure. But please- take your potshots at someone else. I am tired after all this limerick writing.

Well-- sayonara crescent-. His posts are GONE.

I agree with you, jym. Those posts about crumbcake, particularly cinnamon flavored ones were way past the line!! You are very funny, though. I can only hope for more limericks (but don’t stay up late composing).

Mimk, the thread had to do with San Francisco’s latest proposal for a ban. But it was actually pretty tame, I don’t think we can blame poor leanid for that one.

Three more hours and I win the prize.

There once was a poster (from Yuma?)
who had a wry sense of humor.
Some misunderstood what others thought good.
But here’s hoping for at least a few more.

when posters become obnoxious
and start to take potshots at us
In response to their baiting
we’ll just keep them waiting
cuz they just seem to want to box us
