<p>My school has electives such as journalism, personal finance, and biotech. Personal finance and biotech are 1/2 credit courses but they are weighted as “regular” courses verses unweighted. How will this effect my gpa if I’m taking 2 aps, 1 regular and the rest honors courses?</p>
<p>It depends on how your school weights AP and honors classes. I’d check the website to see if that information is there.</p>
<p>On a more general note, don’t be worried about regular courses negatively affecting your GPA! It’s fine to take some unweighted classes that interest you, especially if they’re in a subject you’d like to pursue in college and beyond. :)</p>
