Because JROTC hasn’t proved its worth to me as a course or a program, I’m deciding to drop it for next year. I’m already taking 3 hard AP’s (Chem, World, Eng. Lang) next year, so does anybody have a good, light-load (preferably AP) course that they recommend for next year?

Thanks

Not to be mean or anything, but AP World and English Lang aren’t TOO difficult, so I wouldn’t fret about that - in terms of a “light” AP, I’d say AP Environmental, definitely, or AP Psychology. I really love Environmental, and though I took it just for the GPA boost, it’s one of my favorite classes. :)

Yeah, as far as difficulty, I’m going off of what I’ve heard. Do you recommend AP Comp Sci? It seems like an interesting subject, but I’m just not sure about workload/necessary experience.

AP World and AP Lang aren’t bad at all. AP Lang is like a continuation of Honors English and AP World is mostly general trends. A lighter AP would definitely be APES (AP Environmental Studies) or APHUG (AP Human Geography) many of my friends are in it and many kids at my school take it because it’s easy and they want an AP credit.

I’m already taking AP Human this year, and yeah… it’s easy. Looking at courses though I was just wondering if AP Comp Sci A would be an easy “filler” too, because the material seems interesting.

If it’s something you would enjoy I say take it! Try to talk to the teacher or kids in the class to find out more.

If you have past programming experience, then AP Comp Sci A will be easy for you.

Do you guys think 5 AP’s is pushing it? Lang, Chem, World, APES, and Comp Sci A?
