Here is the link about Victoria: Heir to the Swedish throne.

wow, that’s crazy. i come from a somewhat esteemed and well known family but i didn’t mention it. and anyway, it’s nothing like swedish royalty.

nothing in the mail for me today.

Something I was pondering: Do you think the admissions committee will “google” us as they review our applications?

not sure, but someone from yale was on my website for 40 seconds a few days ago. not good that the visit was so short. maybe they were just seeing what the site was about.

Well, I had a somebody from a Yale University address on both my blog and personal page at school last week. It could be a coincidence. There are so many people with Yale IP addresses.

I have no idea how they would have found my website if they did not google my first and last names together.

I did not put my blog or website anywhere on the application for any reason. I just didn’t think about it.

yeah, weird that they found you. mine was obvious; my email address is name@fullname.com

so, easy to find.

Hey es four, what do you mean by “normal?” Do you mean, not amazing? lol…

hey, i’m amazing; i am willing to accept that i may not be the kind of amazing that they want. :)

you sold me, ilivefree. you sold me…!

okay, so have you googled yourself lately? i just did and WOW, some old stuff came up!!! guess that’s what happens when you’re name is unique. :)

some dude as a song on his website that i wrote over 10 years ago.

the web is an amazing thing.

You can be certain they are googling to find out who we are. They will be hard-pressed with me. I only have an on-line business presence.
Ilivefree, I hear you. I am an anomaly of sorts, but hey, we will see how this all plays out.
Reading the profiles of past admits has given me a clearer perspective on EWSP. They are passionate about bringing people that can bring positive notoriety to theprogram.

That’s crazy, ilivefree! But it’s still kind of cool. I just googled myself and the first hits are my blog and my personal website; they are in that order! lol…

I never thought about that Pushin. That makes sense. It does seem like they want people who bring positive notoriety to the program. I kind of wish they had like a students profile website or something. But I suppose that would make a lot of students try and “mimic” them, and that would defeat the purpose of uniqueness in a sense.

Who knows??? My head’s spinning now…

I have two pages of facebook, a bio from a newsletter for the art museum I volunteered with, a friends blog-- 7 years old, and a link to two articles I wrote in a newspaper. I google myself occasionally to make sure nothing incriminating comes up, ha.

Willard, when did you apply to EWSP? I am just trying to figure out, if the applicants notified applied early. Ugh, it’s me, Hemingway and Wolfe for the next couple of hours…

Thanks for the PM Willard. I applied days within the deadline. I thought they were contacting those that applied early first, but I think not now.

I was thinking the exact same thing. When did you start sending materials to them? Everything all at once?

Last week of March. I just checked, and they received my final transcript on the 10th.

I think you’re right again. We should all hear something in the next 10 to 14 days… oh, that’s intense!

Just so you guys know. Somebody from Yale was on my website April 11th.

Man O’ man. That’s telling, no?
