Whiff, some of us have been here since the dark ages. Well, not exactly. But I feel like I’ve known Abasket and her son for a decade.
If you hang around long enough, we like to hear about wedding showers, baby showers, and don’t get us started on baby names. That thread went on forever…

My daughter recently got engaged too (in a park too).
So, I’m gonna have fun following all these threads! My D and her fiancé were in town visiting me for 24 hours and left yesterday and we started talking about the early stages of the wedding planning. It is fun.
I agree with @bookworm many of us have been on CC since our kids were in high school and have followed one another’s kids for a long while. I’ve been here for 13 years. My D who just got engaged was only 13 back when I got on CC (has an older sister). And to relate all this back to college for @whuff24 my D who got engaged met her fiancé in sophomore year of college in class.

No discussion about a date yet. I arrived home from a trip abroad Saturday night, the engagement took place Sunday morning, I had his fiance’s family over for a cookout Sunday afternoon and this S started moving to an apartment Monday morning - so…it’s been a bit busy! I figured I’d let him get moved and settled and then I’d take the two of them out for dinner and see what they REALLY are thinking. My guess is within a year. I’m thinking it will be small, simple, but beautiful. We shall see!!!
When I find out, you will be among the first to know!

S1 finally proposed to his girlfriend last week!! She loved an estate ring that she saw at the first jeweler they visited. It is lovely and looks like her.
Very busy summer 2016 ahead for us: D1 graduates from college, D2 from HS, H and I turn 60, and now a wedding!
Looks like chocolatechipcookie will have a busy year ahead of her suggesting dresses for all of us!

Haha on the wedding dresses - I’m going to admit, it is unlikely that you are going to get me in a typical or fancy MOB dress. It’s JUST not me and I’ll really avoid it. I’m much more likely to shop at Modcloth for something - of course, we will have to wait on the type of wedding S and FDIL plan to have…
