Who is from england and is planning to go to college in the us? It would be cool to know which school you go to now and which college your aiming for.

Hey, CaliJen
I live in London and I am planning to apply to:

Chapman University Dodge College
Loyola Marymount University
California Institute of the Arts
Pepperdine University (Maybe)
Emerson College (Maybe)

I can’t wait for August 1st (2011), I will be completing the Common Application straight away. My number one choice is Chapman University and my second is CaliArts. Would be nice to hear what you are aiming for!

Good Luck.

Oh i havent heard of those, what do you want to major in?
My first choice is usc but im also looking at ucla or uc berkeley because im originally from california so i want to head back to the west coast.
Whats the process in getting into your chosen colleges.

Good luck too.

Planning to Major in Film Production at LMU and Emerson, Creative Producing at Dodge College and Stage Management at CaliArt. Cross Pepperdine off the list. I have been checking out USC as well, but I am not sure yet. And a lot of UC’s look good.

The process is annoying:
Find the Universities you want, get information, requirements etc >
Gather all the required materials needed by said University, ACT’s test, (or) SAT test, essays, portfolios etc >
Send of required materials along with your GCSE results (let your school send or fax them), if you do a BTEC in Year 13 you don’t have to send results (I think). The ACT/SAT test centre will send your results to the Uni’s. Complete the Universities application >
Wait for response.

We live here in England - I am American, my wife is English. Our my son applied to USC, Santa Clara, Loyola Marymount, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Stanford, Pomona and Claremont McKenna. Accepted to the first four, rejected by Stanford and Pomona and waitlisted by Claremont McKenna. He has chosen to go to Santa Clara in the fall. If you have any questions about these universities please feel free to ask.
