If you have to comment/write about the style of the author in a novel, what would you write about? for summer hw, thanks.

Well, you’d talk about the literary techniques/elements (word choice, syntax, etc.) the author uses in order to create his/her style and the effect of said techniques/style on the reader.

A list of literary techniques/elements: http://writing2.richmond.edu/writing/wweb/terms.html

thanks, would foreshadowing be an element too?

Yes, of course

More loosely, style means formal/informal. It kind of has to do with the audience and themes. Write about how you feel the author is speaking to you.

which means just saying ‘narrative’ isn’t enough…sigh
