Don’t let this deadline sneak up on you! Entering freshmen and current sophomores who are covered by their parents’ medical insurance policies must complete a waiver form by July 1 or be automatically enrolled in William and Mary’s plan. The College’s plan has pretty good coverage and the premium is reasonable at $1020 per year – but if you already have other health insurance it’s unnecessary. Also, most parents’ policies will only pay after the College policy has paid first, so you won’t be getting much more coverage, if any. To seek a waiver, apply online at www.srstudentcenter.com/wm .

Also: The opening screen will say you may log in with a student ID number or Social Security number, but it seems that with the Social Security number it won’t let you in. So use the student ID number.

Details on all this are in the William and Mary official family newsletter (emailed this week, also posted online at http://www.wmparents.com/WMFamilyCombo5.pdf ). Scroll down to the very last page.
