EPGY or CTY online math course?

I’m a sophomore looking to take Precalculus Honors before September, but since I don’t have time to take a real class over the summer, I wanted to do it online. I must pass my school’s Precalc Honors final exam to successfully enter AP Calculus AB this year, and since my school is extremely good, this can’t just be an “enrichment” course–it has to fully cover the Precalculus Honors curriculum and teach me well.

I’m deciding between EPGY and CTY online courses right now, but I’m not sure which one to pick. (If it matters, I have participated in the CTY summer program before this.) I’m leaning towards EPGY just because a few Google searches have turned up good testimonies about its math program, but I would really appreciate it if you could offer any insight on the quality of either or both programs.

With EPGY you can start at the beginning of each month (you need to register at least 15 days ahead to avoid $50 late fee. That’s was couple years go. I don’t know the current policy). You may want to start in May to make sure you can finish before the summer ends. Have you done any self-studing before?

@cool it is still the same policy.

I want to start in March or April because I don’t have much time over the summer (I’d be willing to pay the late fee for March).

I didn’t know that it was so cheap! I thought that I had to take classes from the EPGY Online High School, where a single course is $3200. So for self-paced courses, the $495 variable term course at [Education Program for Gifted Youth](http://epgy.stanford.edu/) is good and thorough?
