<p>Are there any well-known essay competitions with deadlines in the next couple of months? My school year’s winding down and I’m looking for something to do with my free time.</p>

<p>If you want a list type “hoagies gifted contests” on Google. However, I’ll warn you… unless you are in line to receive the next Pulitzer prize, these major national essay competitions are notoriously difficult to win. Start by entering local city competitions. If you do fine, then enter county, state etc competitions. Start with the small steps first.</p>
